Chapter 34:
---
The last gun training was completely bonkers; especially since Ray was leading it. The girls went home with PTSD rather than experience on guns, so in the next training, Joshua and John, with intervention from Audie and Doug at some point led the training.
Ray was basically put in the naughty corner for being too insane, and he claims that it was the uniform going to his head. The others also experienced wearing such badassery that they forgot who they are for a moment; they must've watched too much Art of War.
He took off his coat, and turtleneck sweater, and thinks to use those for formalities. Right now, he just has the more darker version of the troops' military dress, but he kept the revolver latch on to substitute for a tie, which oddly fits. The peaked cap stays, and his five stars on his shoulders did as well.
This next training consists of long guns this time, cause since the women are...so to say, 'Small enough that there's enough air to breathe in the tank', they think they would be able to fit in long guns inside. And to test out that theory by having them duke it out with various types of rifles, each with ammunition—it apparently was plausible.
They had them be taught how to shoot long guns this time, but for a more...practical sense, Ray had it changed to just submachine guns. Erwin was especially excited that she gets to use an MP40, and own it. "It was her dream to work as a Nazi." Bartholomew joked.
Ray was about to lecture Bartholomew, until he added, "Before you can deez me... She actually has a copy of Mein Kampf in her room."
Well, that's good to know, I guess.
After three days of weapons training, Ray is confident that they fully grasped the training, and is now able, or willing to to defend themselves, when the time comes... But... Ray had other things in mind.
There may come a time where their guns jammed (Especially since that problem hasn't been fixed yet), or they somehow lose all of their ammunition. What if they have to go out of their tank, to get fuel? Or maybe do other things? What are the possibilities they may get ambushed, and what if they don't have their self-defence carry with them?
Ray conducted that next week would be the week where they would teach the women...how to defend themselves.
All of them were totally down with this idea, with the compromise that Ray won't be the one to teach them.
Funny thing is... Ray is not exactly a skilled fighter, as you may think. He uses everything he knows, and doesn't dedicate himself to one knowledge, and just wants to end a fight as fast as he can. Preferably, he uses stuff he found on the ground, or pulled out of his bag, and just bashes his opponents with it. He is totally not a qualified trainer nor an honourable fighter...but his friends are.
While his friends are not martial artists, they have individual knowledge of self-defence combat, that they can teach the women, if they so choose what kind of style they wish to use.
