Chapter 46:

---

{The navy had an intense fight with a Saunders fleet of four battleships, but thanks to the training they received from the ruler of the waves—St. Gloriana, their strong tactics, plus their headstrong pirate tactics helped them achieve a well-earned victory}

It was risky when it comes to boarding, as Saunders sailors were armed with emergency guns, and there are flak guns beneath the surface deck. No matter, they still won, despite most of the Ooarai buccaneers having to swim to a rescue boat that was commandeered by medics after getting blown away and their boats capsizing.

Some of the Ooarai ships, however, got decommissioned during the initial skirmish. While they make up for it in skills and tactics, they lack the defenses needed for the hulls to withstand that much force.

Still, a win is a win, and they could just use the captured ships they have against Saunders. The Saunders sailors became POWs and were quickly sent to Ha'nei for imprisonment. While the method of imprisoning and capturing soldiers is relatively unknown to most people, especially for players who're new to this game, Ray and the others thought that having a normal prison would do, except with little to no abuse... Unless needed...then there might.

Anyways, after winning the skirmish against the opposing fleet, they set their course forward, until they stopped a few knots away from a coastal outpost.

Knowing further advances, especially with low numbers and ships, would prove catastrophic, they instead stopped, and patrolled the seas whilst thinking of a plan.

In the main battleship where the admiral is present, that is affectionately named "David's Frigate," (Ironically, it's not a frigate, though perhaps David is trying to make a pun out of his name and miserably failed.) Admiral David hosted a meeting in the bridge to discuss what to do.

First, how are they gonna take control of the outpost before enemy reinforcements come, and second is how will they defend it if enemy reinforcements come?

While they won the naval skirmish, it was a costly battle, and if they were to face another one, chances are that luck won't be by their side. They have to play this smart because that's the main and only strength they have.

David gathered up distinguished Irish marines and his high-ranking naval officers for this meeting of his. Peter is present, and so is Cutlass. David sent out scouts before this meeting, so they got a good look at the layout of the base at least, but details such as patrol time and how many men are still unknown.

Stabbing into the dark is considered a bold and risky move, especially since they're gonna do this in the dark.

Night raids provide for good stealth, however, the problem with that is is that most of his crew consists of sailors, and most of the marines he once had were sent back to their coastal outpost for healing.

David: "Let's make one thing clear here, okay? Stealth is not an option, though use loud violence in any means necessary as a last resort. When this plan goes caput, because one of you had an itchy trigger finger, then that's on you."
