Wanda woke up to the sun streaming in through the gap in her curtains, but had no recollection of going to bed. The last thing she remembered was being on the couch with Steve and Natasha. She lay there for a moment trying to remember, and a vague memory popped into her head.
Natasha leaning over her in bed, pulling off her Wanda's shoes, and then laying her comforter on top of her. Was that real or was she dreaming? Wanda couldn't be sure.
Without thinking she got up and headed into the bathroom. She washed her face and brushed her teeth, then changed into some fresh clothes. As she was doing this her stomach rumbled, and on checking the time realised it was after 10am. Natasha had usually come with breakfast by now.
Wanda returned to perch on her bed, and waited for another 10 minutes for Natasha to come, but the knock at the door never came and her hunger was intense so she got up and headed out to the common area.
It seemed as though no one was around, but the coffee pot was still hot so she poured herself a cup and made some toast. As she was leaving to head back to her room with her meal she heard a voice from behind her.
"Miss Maximoff?"
She turned, and saw the synthezoid smiling and looking at her intently.
"Hi Vision."
"How are you feeling?"
"Fine Vision, thank you."
"I've made coffee for everyone," he said, gesturing towards the machine.
"I got a cup. Thank you."
Wanda couldn't help but think about what Natasha had said, about him having a crush on her. She was almost certain she was joking but was still a little on edge when she spoke to Vision.
He went to speak again, and afraid of what he might say, Wanda quickly spoke up.
"Where is everyone?"
"Training, ma'am," he gestured towards the huge windows in the common room. Wanda turned her head and saw something flying through the sky. She moved closer to the window and focused, and could make out the wings on Sam's suit. Below him was Steve, shield in hand. She watched them for a moment and could see Steve throwing his shield hard into the air, while Sam dove and rolled to catch it. He then threw it back to Steve and they repeated this over and over.
Wanda smiled, remembering fondly the night before. She kept searching the grass for Natasha but couldn't see her. Vision had moved over to stand near Wanda, so she turned and asked.
"Where's Natasha?"
"Miss Roma-, Nat should be in her room. I believe she took a little break."
"Thank you again Vision," Wanda replied, before again heading towards her room.
"Lovely to see you again, Miss Maximoff," Vision added as she walked away. Wanda turned, giving him a quick smile but continuing walking.
Wanda got to the door of her own room, and went straight on in. She jumped when she saw Natasha standing there.
"Good morning, sleepyhead," Natasha smirked at her.
"Morning," Wanda smiled.
"You have a fun night last night?"
"I did actually. Thank you for making me come."
"Did you get a good sleep?"
"Best I've had in a long time," Wanda admitted.
"Well that's good. Is that breakfast?" Natasha replied, nodding her head towards Wanda's plate.
"Yes, I'm sorry I didn't get you anything. I didn't know where you were."
