By the early evening Octavius had a good amount of bags that we have had collected from all the shopping. I was truly a little annoyed with the amount of money he was spending on me. He knows this and yet he didn't care. Remembering Brooklyn's words about him truly being happy, I allowed this to slide. If he was happy showering me with gifts, I'd allow it.

"Shall we eat," Octavius asks and we both nod. "Wonderful! There is a great restaurant on the second floor near the entrance."

On the way up the escalator a female calls out to Octavius. "Octavius," she calls and runs up the escalator.

Turning around I notice the dirty blonde with a horrible highlight job.

"Racheal," Octavius asks in disbelief. "How are you still alive?"

She nods with a smile. "My father was vampire. I'm hybrid. Don't you remember?"

He shakes his head and by now he realizes we are watching. He steps off the escalator and we step to the side so we aren't in people's way.

"Racheal, allow me to introduce everyone. Racheal, this is my mate Adrianna and her guard Brooklyn. Adrianna, Brooklyn, this is my mate from my past life, Racheal," he tells carefully.

"I see," I say harshly and cross my arms.

Octavius shots my a questioning glance. "So how have you been? When did you move to this pack?"

"A while ago. I didn't realize you were the Alpha until recently. I live closer to the boarder in one of the smaller towns."

"Ah, and do you have a mate now?"

She shakes her head. "You were my only one."

My eyes I could feel were set ablaze as she tried to pursue him.

"Well it's been nice and all," I cut in. "But we have a dinner to get to. So- bye."

"No, it is fine. She can join us if she wishes," Octavius claims quickly.

This man is so stupid. When you see your mate is getting jealous over an ex you try to put an end to that. You try to reassure her.

Brooklyn and I were a few feet ahead of them as they caught up with one another. Brook could most likely feel the anger radiating off of me.

When we arrive the hostess smiles before asking, "how many?"

"Four," I tell, not trying to seem annoyed.

"Please follow me."

She leads us to a private booth in the back noticing the Alpha is with us. Octavius was to smitten with her that he didn't realize how pissed I was.

Feeling bold I ask Racheal, "so what do you do for a living?"

She smiles. "I am a Death Priestess and you?"

"Wonderful," I say with a clap of my hands. "Then you should know exactly who I am."

She shakes her head. "No, I don't."

"Then you are failing at your practice. I am the Moon Princess. The next Moon Goddess."

For a moment her jaw drops, but she is quick to recompose herself. "You are the youngest twin? Melody is working along side your father."

"You are a twin," Octavius chimes.

I believe I already told him this.

"Not the point. I think you are lying about your work as a Death Priestess. I don't recognize you as sometimes I use to join my father when he was summoned. He was summoned many times by many different priestess in the death pack. Yet, you weren't one of them."

She knew exactly who I was, she just wanted to degrade and belittle me in front of Brooklyn and Octavius. I was not going to allow that to happen.

"You know, Octavius has never mentioned you. Yet, I have looked into his past and saw how you wouldn't give him the time of day when you two were paired," I tell.

"And what about you? Do you," she asks.

"I do."

Her eyes glow but they go back to their normal shade. "I see, but he loved me."

"And you didn't."

I hate this women sitting before me. She is a threat. Threatening my wolf, my position, and my mate bond. I am not a force you want to mess with and if it concerns my title and mate bond, I will not back down. She didn't care for her mate at the time and now she does because she has realized what she has lost. She realizes that love and attention he once gave her has been redirected to me and she doesn't like that. I am a threat to whatever plan she had made up.

The rest of dinner was quite awkward between the table, well just me. Racheal and Octavius were so focused on one another. It pissed me off that today was supposed to our day and he just let this happen. He let his ex ruin our day out, but I knew why. He just wants her acceptance. He's been chasing after it since they first met and she rejected him. Now all of a sudden she acknowledges he was her mate and regrets it. Probably wishing she could take that rejection back so she could be in my spot.

When the table is cleared Brooklyn and I start to leave and notice the two of them are not moving. I just sigh and take the bags with us. I wasn't going to sit here for another moment and watch my mate hit it off with another women.

In the car Brooklyn joins me so I am not alone.

"I don't want her in my home," I tell.

"Copy that, Princess. I won't let her. She isn't welcome in the fortress. I'll make sure to relay that to the night guards," she tells.

"Fucking bitch. Who does she think she is?"

"A wolf in sheep's clothes. Obviously. She wants your mate and you just gave him to her."

"Let her have him. Did you see how he barely acknowledged me throughout the night? Disgusting. It is embarrassing that he is giving attention to another female as I am right there."

She sighs and rubs my arm noticing my distress. Back at the fortress I simply throw the bags into his bedroom and find an open bedroom for myself for tonight.

"Excuse me," I call out to a maid.

"Yes, my Princess," she asks softly and bows.

"Uh- do you mind preparing a room for me tonight?"

She cocks an eyebrow. "Don't you sleep in the Alpha's room?"

"I do- I did. We had a little bit of an issue tonight if you can believe in that. That is why he didn't return home with me."

Her mouth flattens into a line and she nods. "I will let you know when it is ready. Please, take it easy on yourself."

Once the room was ready I locked it and didn't leave it once that night, not caring if he came home or not.
