--the next morning--
Winter's POV:
I wake up and push my brown hair out of my face whilst sitting up. My mussels were in agony because of last night and my throat still burned from holding my breath. I stood up and had a shower before getting into my L'Manburg uniform. It was a pastel version of everyone else's'. I grabbed my hat off the hook by the door and placed it on the back of my head.
I ran over to the Camarvan and saw Wilbur, Tommy & Tubbo sitting on top of it. I climbed up the ladder to meet them. "Hi Winter!" Tubbo said as I sat down in between him and Wilbur. "Hey Tubbo!" I said, ruffling his hair. "Morning Wil," I say, side hugging him. "Good Morning Winter," he said, patting my head. "How's my favourite sister?" he asked me. "Tired." I said with a yawn. "As well as your only sister."
He chuckled, looking out over L'Manburg.
"Wow, look at you being all stoic." I say punching his arm. He smiles. I noticed Tommy elbowing Wil.
"Hey Winter can you and Tubbo go help Fundy brew some potions?" Wilbur asks, turning to Tubbo and I. "Wil, you know that Fundy's not even up yet?" I said. Wil sighs and asks me to train Tubbo. "Ok, let's go Tubbo." I say standing up and jumping down off the Camarvan. Tubbo followed. "Don't do that Winter!" Wilbur called out. "You could hurt yourself!"
I rolled my eyes and stuck out my tongue. I noticed that he only reprimanded me and not Tubbo. I pushed these thoughts to the back of my mind as Tubbo and I ran to the training area.
"Swords or bows first?" I asked Tubbo.
"Umm..swords," he said with a grin. I pulled out a wooden sword and threw it to him before getting in position.
Narrator's POV:
Wilbur and Tommy sat atop the Camarvan in a comfortable silence. "What did I want to talk about?" Tommy asked, wanting to go hang out with Tubbo.
"I'm worried about Winter." Wilbur said with a sigh.
"Why?" Tommy said, confused.
"She's just a kid, and here she is fighting." he said, pushing his hair out his face.
"Wil, you're being an idiot." Tommy said, bluntly. Wilbur looked taken aback. "Winter's a good fighter. And she's passionate about this country." he said, narrowing his eyes at Wilbur. "Plus, Woman pog!" he said grinning.
"But she's only 15 Tommy!" Wilbur said.
"By that logic, Tubbo and I shouldn't be fighting either!" Tommy yelled, finally sick of Wilbur's babying. Wilbur sighed.
"You're right, but I don't have to like it." he said, jumping off the van.
Winter's POV:
I had Tubbo on the floor with my sword to his neck for the fifth time in a row. I helped him up, before doing a little dance. "Five - Zero!" I say. "Wanna go again?" I said getting in a defensive position. Tubbo groaned, clearly tired of getting his ass handed to him.
"Can we do bows?" he asked.
"Sure," I said, grabbing my bow.
"Winter, can I talk to you?"
I turned around to see Wilbur leaning against a tree. "One second." I said to Tubbo, before running over to WIl.
"What do ya need?" I asked, slightly confused.
"Winter, I'm going to let you fight," he said with a slight grimace.
"Wait really?!" I asked, taken aback.
"Yes." he said, sighing, really not wanting to do this.
"You won't regret this!!" I said, hugging him and running over to Tubbo and Tommy to tell them the good news.
"I really hope I won't." Wilbur said, sighing.
