Winter's POV:

In the end, they never came. I waited for hours, the crashing of waves being my only friend.

I found myself looking up at the sky, over and over again. The starry sky, full of light.

Maybe they were too busy.

Or maybe they were waiting for you.

On their own beach.

Far away from you.

Waiting.

Waiting..

Waiting...

Were they looking up at this sky?

The one you'd both seen a thousand times.

Both of I had taken in every star.

Every colour.

The beauty.

That had long ago worn off.

Maybe this was my own personal hell?

Or heaven?

No.

I didn't deserve heaven.

Not after what you'd done.

No matter how hard I fought the past, it always catches up.

Maybe I should just live in the present?

Savour every moment?

People say that Tommy's too young to fight..

But what do they think of you?

15.

1, 5.

Doesn't look like that long, but to you, it felt like a millenium.

One day.

One day the past will catch up.

Or maybe it won't.

Maybe it won't be like last time...

That would fit with how my life had gone so far.

Cause isn't life so fucking inconsistent?

Narrator's POV (with the Dream Team):

"I all saw that too, right?" Dream asked, looking around the living room.

Sapnap was sitting on the couch, and George was at the bench. Dream leaned on the door frame.

"Saw what?" George looked confused.

"Winter's eye." Dream answered like it was obvious.

"What about it?" Sapnap asked, also confused at what Dream was saying.

"The colour it turned." Dream said.

"Cut to the chase Dream, what happened to her eye?" Sapnap said with a sigh, wanting to get this over with.

"It was XD's colour."
