(a/n: this chapter will differ a little from the original storyline because I can't be bothered to research)

Winter's POV (also time skip to the next day because I feel like it):

"Tommy, I'm putting you in charge of this army," Wilbur said, putting a hand on Tommy's shoulder.

I felt a small pang in my heart. Tommy shouldn't have to lead this. He was only a year older than me. I pushed these thoughts to the back of my head and started running after the group.

"Winter! Stop running!" Tommy called as I overtook him. "We walk," he said as I came to a stop. I rolled my eyes but did as he said. I slowed to a horribly slow pace. I didn't like walking.

I sighed. Last night hadn't gone the best. I had spent most of today preparing. I had barely slept.

"So what's the plan?" I asked, looking up at the cloudy dusk sky. "We go to the embassy and talk it out." Wilbur said.

"I know that's not gonna work?" I said, looking at Wil.

"Let me hope, Winter." He said with a laugh. I giggled, glad there was still some humour.

L'Manburg arrived at the embassy and was met with the Dream Team and Punz, clad in full enchanted netherite, atop of one of the many towers that dotted the landscape. This wouldn't be easy.

I smoothed out my L'Manburg jacket. I hated how exposed I was, but it was a statement to not wear armour — at least that's why Wilbur said — it showed we had no fear.

The silence was broken by Dream.

"I don't see white flags, Wilbur." He called down, the smirk evident in his voice. I wanted to punch him.

I saw Wil smile slightly before starting to speak. "Oh we're not going to surrender. We were hoping we could talk this out." Wilbur said, still smiling. Tommy looked taken aback.

"Wil-" he started, but he was cut off. "Be quiet Tommy." Wilbur said. I didn't know what Wil was thinking. Hadn't we already tried this?

"The thing is Wilbur," Dream said, "Is that we have made it very obvious what we want." I felt my stomach sink. "George." Dream said with a nod.

"My pleasure." The man with goggles said. I looked around at my fellow L'Manburgians and they all looked just as confused as me. All except Eret.

I saw what George was holding and it suddenly clicked. George released the flaming arrow and I heard a hiss below me.

"GET BACK. IT GONNA BLOW." I yelled pushing everyone back. I felt a tug on my collar and I turned around to see Tubbo had tugged me back to safety. "Thanks Tubbo." I said before looking at the destruction.

There was a giant fucking hole in the ground.

Dream's POV:

I saw Tubbo pull Winter away from the explosion. I felt a frown form under my mask. I hoped we would have gotten rid of at least one of them with that. If what Eret said was true, I don't want to have to face her in battle if I can avoid it.

Winter's POV:

Both groups traded fire for a few minutes, many of my shots landing and theirs narrowly missing, before I saw the Dream Team start to retreat. Once they were gone, Tommy cheered and turned to Wilbur.

"We did it Wil!" He cheered, looking proud.

"Don't let this go to your head Tommy." Wil said with a small smile etched on to his face.

"We still did it!" I said with a grin, punching Wilbur's arm.

"Yes, we did." He said, smile growing.

I looked across the battlefield. It was drizzling. On one side of the sky the sun was setting and on the other, a rainbow shone. I smiled at the beauty.

"Guys," Eret said, breaking the silence that had settled in. "I have something to show you."
