Winter's POV:

I bolted up in bed, not even needing to look at my wrist to know I had lost a life.

Sighing softly, I stood up, wanting to change out of my uniform.

Whilst I adored the uniform, it was hideously uncomfortable.

I selected my normal sleeping clothes, realising I had barely slept in days(cough KARLA cough).

Putting on a plain black tee and flannel pants, vile of green laying on my chest. I climbed back into bed, not even bothering to put my L'Manburg uniform away.

As I pulled the warm woolen blanket over you, I let sleep take I for the first time in days.

---------

I woke up on a sandy beach, the sky stuck in a permanent starry night. It might have been beautiful if I hadn't seen it a thousand times.

I sighed, remembering why I hated sleep.

I sat down at the edge of the waves, looking over the purple sky, lightly dusted with stars.

The washing of waves filled the air as I took in the scene I knew so well from the endless nights.

I wasn't in the clothes I fell asleep in, instead I wore an electric blue Cape, matching my eye.

Under the cape was a black turtleneck. Plain black pants and boots covered my lower half.

My long hair flowed down my back, fluttering in the breeze.

The green vial layed on my chest.

I rested my chin on my knees. Now all I could do was wait for them.

Surrounded by endless sand and ocean, I waited.

For them.
