"Careful sweetheart."

He stood tall staring out by the window at the moon. Taking in its light. His breathing was calm but not for long. When spotting me by the professor his dark soulless eyes zoned in on me.

"What possessed you to leave on the most important day of your life?" He growled lowly hunching over slightly. Why would anyone want to become like that?

"Mother." I declared and he didn't like that. Not one bit. An annoyed whine came from his lips as he fully turned to me.

"And what did she have to say from beyond the grave?" Glaring at him I stepped closer.

"Yesterday morning I was given a letter by her saying I had a choice." squinting my eyes at him father did the same trying to watch his words carefully. But he knew.

"A choice of what?"

"Between becoming a full vampire or a witch." His glare turned into a smirk as he stalked over to me.

"The only way you can do that is if you have permission from your real father who has passed. Now come home, your soon to be husband is waiting for you." He went to grab my forearm but I stepped away.

"You killed him I know and destroyed the letter he gave my mother but you didn't get his will." Unravelling the folded piece of paper father growled eyes starting to glow a deep red. He tried snatching it but the professor gracefully took the will from me.

"Both signatures are here, excuse us (y/n) it seems your father and I have some agreements to set in place." He smiled at me gesturing for me to leave the room while they talked. No matter what happens at this school it's far better than what was planned. Letting out a relaxed sigh I set myself down on an archway looking down at the drop below me.
A ceremony they call it. They make it sound like nothing. Glaring at my palms I got out a small pebble in my pocket aiming it at a tree in the far off courtyard and hit it dead on target.

"Hey (y/n)." Frowning when hearing a whisper down the hall I leant back seeing the twins. They made random hand gestures and I just stared at them.

"What?" I called out and they came running over.

"Shhh don't be so loud. Teachers are guarding every hall." Humming I looked back out let in and out a long breath, relaxing and taking in the slower heartbeats that vampires have. Father isn't alone. There are ten others.

"As they should be. Even if he told them not to a child could be killed." They didn't say anything for a second. Dumbfounded by what I said while very calm.

"What the bloody hell is that supposed to mean? Everyone's talking about your dad." My eyebrow raised glancing at them.

"Apparently he's a vampire." Curious aren't they?

"And if he was? Why come risking your life to see me?" spinning around on archway not bothered by the height I leant backwards slightly looking up at the stars, it was in my nature to love nighttime.

"You're a mystery, seems like something i'd risk my life for. Right George." Humming in response they grinned at one another.

"Exactly what I was thinking Fred." Taking in a deep breath I smiled.

"The air is wonderful out here." Leaning further back suddenly both my wrists were grabbed.

"Careful sweetheart," Fred said with a smile and look on his face I couldn't quite describe.

"A strength potion doesn't last that long," George said as they pulled me from the ledge.

"There is no strength potion. You can't make a strength potion that strong." Both of them tried to let go but the hairs on my arms raised so I gripped onto their hands.

"A little forward there." Fred chuckled until I pulled them further into the hallway, I watched as their faces went pale.

"Here you are my soon to be wife."

"Caith I will never be your wife. I'm not leaving here." He chuckled as I turned seeing his bright red eyes as he stood on the archway I only just got off from.

"Oh and become a witch what a pointless dream." He hopped off the ledge feet softly planting to the ground. "You really think anyone will give you the attention you need." He leant in, his breath right against my neck. "Where will you get your blood?" Growling I pushed him back.

"Yes, I will. You already know I've had classes and when I've finished I'll storm into that blood castle blow up fireworks in your face hoping you go blind!" Caith glared at me showing his fangs.

"Caith that's no way to treat a lady!" Father roared out by the professor's office door. "Even if she's being disrespectful." His gaze fell upon me. "You're staying here, they're going to set up a special room for you among other things. If I hear one peep about bad grades you're going through as planned." He walked towards me not looking me in the eye anymore but down as the hands I was still holding. I didn't even know, but I thought Caith might do something to the bystanders if I let my guard down. "Already found some play toys." He murmured to himself walking off and Caith faded away into a mist.

"Well, they seemed lovely." Letting go other there wrists I crossed my arms.

"Lovely?" I repeated as Fred put his hands in his pockets.

"Yeah balls of sunshine, can't wait to meet your uncle." Frowning at the two of them they smiled just as another teacher came walking down the hall.

"What are you two doing here? It's not safe." She had a stern facial expression that was aimed at the twins.

"Sorry about that, they were heading back to their dorm but I wanted company." She let out a sigh, facial features relaxing.

"Well if that's true miss Von Stien you've put two other students in danger."

"In this entire castle, the safest place is with me." Then I smelt it. Blood. Whipping my head to the archway my eyes glowed looking out at the surrounding castle until spotting a vampire with a student. "I'll be back, go to your dorms." Hoping out of the archway I landed four stories down to a roof softly. They were near the courtyard, why would a student risk coming out here? There was a hiss as I made it in front of the scene. A student was bitten but was alive. "Hey, piece of shit." He let out a hiss before in a blink of an eye I punched his stomach sending him back. "Your master is gone. Leave before I stupify your ass." He licked his lips staring at the girl on the ground before disappearing. Going to the girl I picked her up with ease. Her hair was light, almost like snow. When I was about to head back to the teacher there were footsteps. The professor, the other teacher I just met along with someone that looked like a nurse.

"Madam Pomfrey take miss Lovegood to the hospital wing, I'll take miss Von Stien to her dorm room." I settled the girl down to a brace the nurse cast.

"Shes lost just over 30% of her blood, if you give her bareroot tea she'll recover quicker." She thanked me and left.

"Come with me, you've had a big day. I'm Professor McGonagall."
