"Vampires don't love anything, we feed."

School was back and the moment we got back to Hogwarts all my worries disappeared. We were safe here no matter what anyone else said the burrow wasn't 100% safe even with the charm around the house. I was in the middle of a topic test after the revision we had for the past week but McGonagall came walking in whispering something to our dark arts teacher. Not paying attention trying to finish the test I suddenly felt their eyes on me.

"Miss Von Stien will you please come with me. You can finish your test later." I blinked looking up from my paper.

"No need I've finished." Saying this while grabbing my bookbag everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me, including the twins who had ajar mouths.

"But the test only started twenty minutes ago," George whispered to Fred but because it was silent everyone heard.

"Yes and I didn't have time to proofread but I'm positive it's in the high marks." Handing it over to the teacher I walked with McGonagall out of the classroom but she kept on going so I followed. We came up near Dumbledores office to a door and she stopped.

"I'm sorry for the secrecy but it was the utmost importance you speak with your betrothed. He insisted it was important." Caith was here. I stepped back but noticed her worried expression.

"Alright, but for future reference, we're not engaged nor married." Opening the door I shut it behind me quickly. Caith turned glaring at me or maybe the brightness of the room.

"How can anyone stand this light, it's infuriating." Rolling my eyes at him I crossed my arms.

"At least you know how I feel about you." He whipped his gaze straight into my eyes growling.

"Id watch your tongue. You were gone from our sight for two weeks." So it did work. They couldn't catch a scent. "Some said you left the continent. God this light is insufferable." Caith swung a curtain across the window although it didn't do much. At least his anger was at something other than myself.

"And what does it matter. My grades are outstanding what's it matter what I do in two spare weeks?" His eyes glowed in the dim-lit room and he walked closer to me.

"Your father wants you back over future breaks. Training to be a vampire is hard enough for purebloods but yourself. That's a whole other story." I wanted to say no but the school is closed over the summer and I couldn't risk the Weasleys getting hurt with such a long period of time. Not to mention Molly isn't so fond of me anymore.

"Is that all you came to say? Wouldn't a letter suffice?"

"It would have if not you shredding them apart every time ones sent." I chuckled while he growled. Caith brought out his hand to clench my shoulder but I pushed him off. With my strength, he was shocked for a moment but squinted at me. "You've been feeding on purebloods I see. Strong blood they have, I'm sure you're enjoying that. As are they." I raised my hand grabbing hold of his shirt ready to strike his face.

"What are you saying?"

"You feed then have sex correct. You feed on pleasure so it's natural. I learned your mothers feeding gene since we last spoke which of course is passed down. Something you should know whoever this is you don't love him. Vampires don't love anything, we feed, breed and course chaos. It's in our nature." Shoving him I left the room in a huff not wanting to speak to him anymore. McGonagall let me past without a word and didn't stop me as I headed in the wrong direction knowing something bad happened.

Heading up to my favourite spot I looked out at the mountains and lake in the clock tower. The lunch bell rang some time ago but I wasn't hungry. Eating was the last thing on my mind.

"There you are darling." Fred cheered coming up the stairs with George but I didn't look at them.

"We thought Dumbledore scurried you off somewhere." They quickly plunked down either side of me but I only gave a small smile.

"It was Caith. He came by." My lack of explanation had the twins confused and worried. They leant in trying to spy my face to understand what I was feeling.

"You're not leaving are you," Fred said hand touching my upper thigh. Flinching at the affection I hesitated for a moment.

"No, I'll just be going back home for the remaining holidays to train." A warning bell went off signalling classes were about to begin. I stood quickly wanting to get to class on time.

"He didn't say anything else?" George said while I tried to scurry off.

"You seem agitated," Fred commented after his twin and I made me fume on the inside since they somehow knew what I was feeling.

"No, he just knew I wouldn't read the letters he sent. I have herbology." Not letting them respond I rushed away from them trying to clear my head of Caith's voice. 'Vampires don't love anything.'

----

I'd been avoiding Fred and George. A part of me knew what Caith was saying was true. It's just the chemicals I make that makes them think they love me. Like a potion. All I'm doing is wasting their time with fake feelings.

I can't love or be loved.

The twins picked up quickly with what I was doing. Skipping meals and only seeing them in class eventually they decided to take things into their own hands. Which I didn't know what that meant but from the conversation I heard with Lee it was going to be something I wanted to avoid at all costs.
