The lords were the regional selected mayors of sorts. They would report to the master of the continent such as father or now Quinn. They always followed orders but for now. Each and every one of them was welcomed. Ten in total. I was sat by Quinn who addressed them separately, most hearings go for two days. One to discuss and the other to decide. Before now I wasn't allowed to attend. Being a woman and all.

"With my father gone, killed by a wizard who calls himself Lord Voldemort it's up to me to decide what we do. I wish to fight against these dark wizards alongside the apposed." There were low growls in the room, echoing off the stone walls. "That being said we can discuss this matter since you all feel the need to defy me." The glasses filled with blood weren't touched and at that moment you could hear the heartbeats race.

"Lord hemmingsworth, I believe if we kill those who oppose us which is everyone who sees sunlight we will have a chance to see another night," I growled hands scrapping on the table.

"And if we fight against them we will lose. There is a reason laws were set against us." Heads all turned in my direction.

"And what is she doing here? A half breed and a woman no less." Quinn placed a hand on the framing of the chair I sat on.

"She's my sister and you will treat her with respect. If we play our cards right then we will have the freedom to live not survive." Quinn began walking around the room to speak among every ear. He had been practising all this until the sun came up the previous day.

"What's the difference?" The lord next to me asked. Scoffing lightly to myself my eyes rolled.

"Blood could be supplied to the hungry, villages could be made. We wouldn't be seen as monsters. We live in a world that despises us for our differences when everyone is stronger together." Hours were spent discussing and once three refills of blood was finished everyone was asked to think through the options.

"Quinn." I breathed walking over to his seat as most of the lords had wandered off. "What happened to living by fathers word?" For all my life I knew Quinn to be similar to my father. Not in appearance but by advocations.

"You. We have our way of living but halfbreeds such as yourself shouldn't be stuck in one way of living. You fought. Which is something I never do. You learnt that from mother I suppose." A small smile spread across my face as he kept cleaning up the papers on his desk. "Get some rest we'll be up early tomorrow." With a curt nod, I left the hall to my bedroom which Caith was waiting outside of.

"I thought my brother told you to stay away?" I asked and his head rolled over to look at me.

"Well, you're the one to come up and talk to me." Raising an eyebrow I walked past him.

"You're standing outside my room, a little bit rude might I add. Goodnight." I spoke trying to open my door only for Caith to grab hold of my hand.

"The master's wishes are but a pipe dream. You may have gotten out of this life but it can't happen for all of us." Flicking his hand off of mine I growled opening the door.

"If you never try you'll never know." Slamming the door shut I heard him hiss on the other side. Locking the door with a charm so I could rest easier I changed into a shirt id left here originally Freds. It still faintly smelt like him and George. They shared shirts so often. After tomorrow either I'll be ready to fight with or against my own people. I wasn't ready for either of those things but Quinn needed me. If only Erick was here then maybe we had a chance. But he has a young family. It's too dangerous for him to come back.

Everyone sat around the table mumbled to each other as the deadline for the hearing. It's a majority vote, so far I knew only Quinn and myself were voting in favour, it could go in either direction. It was hard to run on only three hours of sleep, all this stress had me awake staring at the ceiling trying to think of ways to drift off. None worked of course.

"I trust we've all come to a conclusion." Quinn stated standing from his seat. "All those in favour." Quinn and I raised our hands followed by four others raised there's. I sighed out in relief. Quinn's heart rate softened in his chest. "Alright, that settles it. From tomorrow forward we will work out our plan. If you have questions relating to witches or wizards consult (y/n)." I wasn't given kind stares, in fact, it reminded me of what it was like at Hogwarts. But as always I ignored it. If you fight the stares it only gives them more reason to look at you. "As for now, I suggest you all come to terms with our future arrangements." Being dismissed I left the castle to the nearby forest to think and to get away from the surrounding stares.
