After a while, Cammy and Tyler had finally reached the bottom. "That only took forever and a day!!" Cammy yelled in frustration. Tyler snickered. "Hey, what's so funny? I'm serious!"
They met eye contact, which was a huge mistake. The demigods blushed and quickly looked away from each other.
Tyler finally said, "Cammy, I-""
"Look!!" Cammy pointed.
Tyler looked in confusion. "Who, what, where?"
He looked at her and she grabbed his cheeks. Tyler blushed madly, but Cammy turned his head in the direction she had pointed out.
Behind some trees, bushes, and gods know what, there was a a fire brewing. Black smoke curled around the area, leading into the stars. Tyler's eyes widened. That either meant a bad thing or it was a miracle.
He looked at Cammy for the millionth time, her expression was uncertain. She was probably thinking the same thing as he.
"Alright, what's our game plan?" Cammy whispered.
He thought for a moment. "I say we move in a bit closer and get a look at the base."
She nodded, urging him to keep talking. Gears turned in his head. "Maybe we could advance from two directions, one a distraction just in case it's a monster, the other can strike from behind. Then the first one can join in." He found himself grinning.
Cammy sighed. "Wow...." Then she blushed and scowled. "Pft, I mean, sure, whatever. Sounds awesome, but I ain't the distraction." She made a cute pouty face.
Tyler tried not to give her any signs, so he looked away. "Um, I actually think you should be the distraction. You have a lovely way of insults."
She went silent and looked away from him, a little flustered. Cammy knew it was for the better. He was the smart one, he has it figured out, Cammy thought.
She sighed. "Fine, guess so, Einstein." She perked up. "That's your nickname! I like it!"
"I love it, " Tyler grinned.
They fist bumped like old buddies and crept along to the unknown, like shadows in the night; Nico di Angelo style.

"Give me back my Whatchamacallit!!" Lily cried.
Sydney snickered and started nibbling on the candy bar. One hand was holding the candy, the other was pushing Lily away. Lily gave up and curled up in a ball and sobbed. Sydney chewed slower, studying Lily's cries. Sydney stopped.
Sydney mumbled, "H-hey-" Lily sobbed louder.
Sydney rolled her eyes. "Look, I'm sorry, just take this and stop-"
Lily snatched it faster than Sydney could process. Lily beamed as she wolfed down the Whatchamacallit. Sydney scowled and lay back, covering herself with her coat. She mumbled some insults about Lily as Lily stoked the fire.
Before Sydney could close her eyes, someone yelled, "Kronos Worshipers!!"
A girl about 14 popped out of the trees. Leaves and twigs poked out of her hair and mud was smeared here and there. She was pretty, with caramel hair and teal eyes. A splash of freckles complimented her eyes. She looked like a pretty hobo model.
Hobo Girl had her double bladed sword raised. She had a wicked grin that slowly faded into a frown. She lowered her sword.
"Oh," was all she said. She turned around and yelled, "Einstein, it's cool. Just a couple of kids."
Sydney wasn't really into boys, but this guys made it on her list. Blonde hair that spiked a bit, some was curled, and maybe hazel eyes. He had a light tan and looked almost as bad as Hobo girl. He was pretty built, yet he didn't send off a bad vibe. Maybe he was a inner nerd or a cuddly kind of guy.
She snapped out of it and scowled. "Just a couple of kids?" She looked at Lily, who was terrified. She yelled, "I'll have you know! Why don't you take your boyfriend elsewhere and stick that awesome looking sword-"
"Whom do you think you are talking to!" The guy spat.
"Hobo model."
"What?!"
"The girl, 'Einstein'!"
Suddenly a small dagger pinned Sydney to a tree's trunk. She yelped in surprise. Lily fainted as Hobo Girl advanced.

"I'll have you know! Why don't you take your boyfriend elsewhere and stick that awesome looking sword-"
The voice had been cut short by another voice, but that voice was unmistakably Sydney's in the distance. The four demigods perked up.
"Awesome looking sword?" Emma, Nico, and Will mused. They turned to Connor, whom was still in deep thought.
"Hm, what?!" Connor asked.
"C'mon, let's go," Nico mumbled.
"Right, let's hurry!" Will began to run off with Nico.
Emma let go of Connor's arm. She punched his arm playfully and dashed off. Connor was dumbstruck. He grinned and chased after the daughter of Athena, just like his girlfriend had when they had first fallen in love.
