Golden Light

Cammy's P.o.V.

My body froze, blood stopped rushing, adrenaline long gone, and heart beating slower by the second.

What was I doing? Running out here, weaponless, with no experience in real monster fighting. I'm better off dead.

But what I saw caused me to come.

Grief.

Levi lay lifeless on the ground, blood dripping from his head, staining his mop of hair. I turned to the nymph that Levi had sacrificed his life for. I knew I had to bring her back, not save her. Levi already did that. She must have been important to him. He had paid his life for her's in return.

Anger boiled inside of me, mixed emotions. I wanted to cry, kick, scream, and I had an urge to kill. I faced the monster, the beast.

Without thinking (and I tend to do this often now), I reached in the air above my head. A glitter of golden light swarmed around me as a shape took form in my hand. I seriously didn't know what was going on, it was an instinct. A wicked, 2 foot, celestial bronze sword filled my left hand. Perfect, symmetrical patterns designed the weapon's pure silver handle. The name of the sword gleamed brilliantly; two words floated around me (dyslexic and all): Χρυσό ψως. Translated to: Golden Light, in Greek.

I raised my sword, said something even I didn't understand in Latin, and thrust my hand at the hydra. A burst of light came blinding everything in sight, like a mini nuclear bomb. The hydra was paralyzed in fear as he was soon nothing more than yellow, sulfurous dust in the air. That was also soon covering me from head to toe. A pile of monster powder knee-high.

Suddenly my knees buckled, and I instantly fell to the dust. I couldn't remember anymore events after, for I saw nothing but darkness, and a horrid nightmare to come.

Connor's P.o.V.

"Chiron! Let us go already!" I yelled. "She will suffocate!"

That would be embarrassing for her.....

The atmosphere changed once more. I face planted on the grass, finally broken free from that stupid spell. I quickly raised my head and dashed over to the pile of monster powder. Dust was flying everywhere 'til, thank the gods, I dug her out. I dragged her from the sulfur and gently lay her on the soil, grinning.

I spoke, "Well, I don't know about you guys, but I think Cammy kinda proved herself in combat....don't you agree?"

"I couldn't agree more," Travis said. I smiled at that.

"No kidding," Piper mumbled.

"Indeed, especially since that was actually a nine headed hydra." Chiron said. "That source of power she used was remarkable and unknown. I must question her about that. The sword caught my eye with it's lust, as well."

"Don't want to mess with that daughter of A-" Annabeth tried to finish.

"Don't say what I think you're going to say!" Percy exclaimed, covering his girlfriend's mouth.

She rolled her eyes and sighed. "Apollo. Don't mess with that daughter of Apollo!" She had a playful tone.

"Well, looks like I just found my sidekick!" Leo grinned.

Jason and Nico just looked at each other, glancing at me and Cam. Jason looked down, deep in thought. "What bothers me is that how did the border break? Thalia's pine tree is-"

"GONE?!"

I turned around, we all did. Rachel pointed at something in the distance. When did she get here?

"Wait a sec, how can a whole tree just go missing?" Leo asked, stroking his chin.

"Not the tree you moron," Rachel mumbled. "The Golden Fleece!"

(A/N: So sorry! This was supposed to be your 2015 New Years chapter, but I was a lil busy. I know a lot of people have done this "Golden Fleece" missing and stuff, which I was bummed to hear since that was my story plot. I will make this worth reading though, since this is more of a serious book sorta, than a carefree one. So yeah. Hope you guys like it. Oh and, HAPPY LATE-ISH NEW FRICKEN YEARS!!!
