"-then Nico stabbed his sword in the dirt and the ground around them crumbled, bringing them down, too!! Oh my gods, Chiron, what are we gonna do??!!" Connor summed up.

The senior members and cabin leaders of the council gasped. Connor slumped in his chair, worried out of his mind. His brother, Travis, patted his back in reassurance. Annabeth's, Percy's, and Jason's faces were grim, uncertain of what to say. Piper looked at her blade, Katoptris. Gods know what she was seeing, or nothing at all. Leo fiddled with random screws and and springs from his coat pocket.

Emma shook her head and sighed. "Well, over all, yes it happened. Without the exaggeration, sir." She shot Connor an irritated look, whom blushed.

Chiron shifted uncomfortably. "Very well." He spun a 180 in his wheelchair. "It may not be wise, but we must send a search party-"

"I volunteer as tribute!" Leo screamed, raising his hand. A few laughs escaped.

Chiron gave him a a warm smile. "No, my boy. You have done greatly for the camp. The last thing you need is a quest to the Underworld." He looked around the room. "None of you may go."

Mumbles of argument went around the room. Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, and Leo got in a circle, mumbling a plan. The arguing got louder.

"My cabin will deserve more respect from this quest!" Clarisse growled.

"Excuse me?" Lily asked, confused.

"We have to help somehow!" Emma cried.

"We can't just sit back and wait for them!" Sydney muttered.

"Hades might be okay....," Katie mumbled

"NO!" Everyone in the room said in a sync. Katie turned pale.

"Silence, children!" Chiron begged.

"But Chiron-" Pollux said.

Chiron raised his hand for silence. "This shall not be spoken of to anyone. I will recruit half-bloods soon. It is up to you young men and women to keep this safe."

Without another word, he wheeled out the room, and that was the end of the council meeting.

Of course, the rumor had spread like a wildfire. Campers mumbled about Nico's betrayal. Aphrodite's children took bets on whether or not Tyler and Cammy would get together, if they survived that is. The Apollo cabin was in early mourning for the soon loss of their siblings. Will Solace was their head counselor, and on the other hand, Cammy was to be a very gifted demigod.

Demeter cabin:

"So, we have a new sibling!" Katie gushed.

"We had a new sibling." Aaron corrected.

Polly sighed, "Yeah, they will never survive Hades! No matter how powerful Amber is, she won't make it in time."

"She will! Amber is the most powerful child of Hecate in centuries!" Katie argued.

Polly shrugged. "Maybe she will save Cammy in time. Hades will probably kill Tyler and Will when he sees them."

"True, he only wanted Cammy." Aaron said as he climbed under his covers. "There goes Apollo's third head leader."

"Oh yeah! Lee Fletcher, Michael Yew, then poor Will Solace." Polly said.

"Don't be like that! They'll make it! Chiron knows what he is doing. Amber will totally save them!" Katie pouted, though she wasn't quite convinced herself.

---------------------
Aphrodite cabin:

"OH MY GODS!!!!" The siblings squealed. Piper rolled her eyes as she flipped a page of a little family album she had made.

"I wish Cammy were a daughter of Aphrodite!" Gabriella sighed.

"I know! She totally broke that loser's heart!" Drew smirked.

Piper's grip on the album cover tightened. Shut up, Drew, Piper wanted to say. She didn't want to break her siblings' ship, though.

"I totally called it." Drew laughed.

"Wait, what's that Demeter kid's name again?" Gabriella thought aloud.

"Pft, who cares?! What matters is that she broke a heart worthy of Mother." Drew said proudly. She turned to Piper. "Unlike someone over here. Wouldn't you say, Beauty Queen?"

Piper's eyes flared. She controlled her breathing and replied, "Whatever. Besides, we've been through this only a quadrillion times. That rule is long gone. No one will be breaking anybody's heart- not while I am head counselor."

Drew threw a mini tantrum and stormed out the door. Piper smirked as she continued flipping through pictures of her and her father smiling like nothing else had mattered.

Pollux threw open the Hecate cabin's door. He gasped for breath, dehydrated. A few of the kids giggled at how ironic it was. The son of the god of wine was thirsty.

"Where's Amber?!" He panted.

"You're late by eight hours," One of the kids said. His face was breath taking, with messy blonde hair and violet eyes. So the new camper had been claimed? "She already left for her flight back to her dad's place."

Pollux groaned in annoyance. "You have got to be kidding me!"

"No kidding. Lucky her, her dad owns a ton of land in New Zealand! How awesome is that?!" Olivia ranted. "I've always dreamed of visiting that place." Olivia whisked her hand and her bed tucked her in.

"Yeah! And she gets all the cool and rare powers, while we get the normal ones with bad skills with a sword. She is even good with those ninja swords she uses!" One of Amber's brothers pouted.

"Katanas, genius!" One of the kids yelled from the top bunk. Giggles filled the cabin.

Bryce shook his head and sighed. "So yeah, point being, she isn't here. Sorry," Bryce said. He got up from his mattress and walked to the door with Pollux. "Wish I knew earlier to stop her. Sorry again."

Pollux sighed. "It's fine. I'll just tell Chiron." He headed out the door with his hands in his jean pockets.

"Goodnight, son of Dionysus." Bryce called, waving farewell for the night. Pollux waved back before the Hecate door slowly shut.

"She isn't there sir." Pollux informed. He rubbed his eyes.

Chiron shook his head. "Di immortals!" He shook his head. "I have completely forgotten." He put a hand to his forehead.

Pollux yawned. "Maybe we can send someone-"

"No, no." Chiron sighed.

Chiron wheeled to the porch of the Big House. The air was cold and still, no breeze to be found. The starry night sky glistened within the midnight. The latest constellation of the hunter of Artemis glowed blinding among the others. The crescent moon was dim, the bonfire looking it's brightest.

"Sir-" Pollux interrupted.

"Get some rest. You have done me well." He stared in the bonfire. "We must collect our champion. I have a feeling a new prophecy shall unravel soon."

Pollux nodded and quickly ran off towards his empty cabin, alone, as Chiron started wheeling back inside. Before he completely did, he looked back at the bonfire. It gave him an uneasy feeling.

"Our Champion," he mumbled.

As he said that, the fire blazed dangerously bright. Ashes danced everywhere, scattering. The fire formed to where it was a figure ablaze. The figure smiled cruelly. It threw its head back and laughed in wicked delight. Then it dissolved among the ashes that followed.

"Lord Hades." Chiron grumbled. "My brother, what have you done?"
