You Still Are Family

Cammy's P.o.V.

Soooo I woke up in the infirmary....again. Will dabbed my forehead with a cold, damp towel. I moaned. That got his attention, guess he didn't know I was awake.

"If it isn't Mrs. HydraKiller," he said, smiling.

I sat up bolt, straight. I paled as memories started flowing through my mind. I put my hands on the sides of my head and closed my eyes. "I-Is Levi....Is h-he...," I couldn't form words.

I didn't see Will's reaction, but it must have been sad. "I'm sorry sis but-"

"DON'T CALL ME SIS!" I screamed. "YOUR NOT EVEN MY REAL BROTHER!"

Then my cheek flashed red with a sting. I muffled a startled cry. Somebody had...slapped me?

I looked up and wanted to burst out in tears. Nico glared at me, he had his hand mid-air. "N-Nico....?"

"You're right about not being real siblings, but you still are family, so get used to it." He turned around, walking away and soon out of sight.

There was an awkward moment that clung in the air.

"I-I'm sorry Will." I mumbled. "I'm just furious that I didn't save Levi. All I did was protect that nymph-"

He frowned. "And prevented the Camp's borders from breaking even further."

"-and have caused nothing but trouble the day I arrived." I slumped down. "I'm taking my rage on everyone around me."

"Nico does that-"

"Don't compare me to Nico. H-him and I are way different. We are nothing alike."

Will chuckled and brought me into a hug, kissing my nose. I felt myself blush. "You guys are actually exactly alike, it's just that you guys can't see it. At least not yet." He started towards the door.

I touched my nose, where Will had kissed me. "I so ship Solangelo..."

"Hm? Did ya say something?"

"No! Nothing at all, big bro!" I grinned. He grinned back.

With that, he gave me one more smile, ruffled my bed hair, and closed the door behind him as he walked out.

I sat down under a willow tree, strumming a ukulele mournfully. Levi....

Then I was interrupted by someone shaking my shoulders. "Oh my gods!! Cam, how ya feeling?! Are you alright?!" Jessica practically yelled in my ear (A/N: Jessica is the demigod in Nico's P.o.V. that 'nearly killed her with a hug').

The daughter of Demeter hugged me, "Oh I was so worried about my BFF, I don't know what I would do if something had happened to you!! No matter what, I will always be by and on your side! I-"

"JESS!!" I yelled over her, putting my hands on her shoulders. "I'm fine, just chill!"

She sighed, then smiled, her chocolate eyes sparkling. "I'm sorry, just a little protective of you." She looked down. "You're kinda my only friend...."

I giggled, hugging her. "Yeah right, you have a lot of other friends here! Like Amy, Katie-"

"She's my half-sister...."

"-and that other dude, Thomas, son of, um, Hermes! The one you always make googly eyes at-"

She punched me in the arm. "Shut up!!"

I laughed, rubbing my arm, "O-oww. Alright, alright." She seemed satisfied with my answer.

I heard hooves coming my way, so of course, I turned around. Chiron. He beckoned me towards the woods. I grabbed at my shirt, nervous.

"Hey, um Jess, I'll be right back, prob-" I looked back and she was nowhere to be seen. "Ok then, so much for always being at my side...."

I slowly walked to Chiron, taking baby steps. But he gave me a welcoming smile, "Do not fear, I am only asking for a few minutes of your time." He said. "I hope you do not mind."

"N-none at all." I stuttered. I still couldn't shake the feeling off that he was real, that any of this was.

"Very well," he said, putting his hands on my shoulders and steered me towards the woods. "This shall only take a brief moment of....discussion," He smiled once more before I could even look back at camp as we entered the forest.
