Twitch streamer Kim Sun, real name Kim Sunwoo, revealed to be a gold-digger based on his past.
After news stirred about the Choi family had died down, netizens believed that it was all over with. However, news of the gamer known as Sun who is dating Nyu Choi had recently been brought to the surface.
The 21 year old gamer Kim Sunwoo first made his account a few years back, slowly growing it and currently having 12k followers on Twitch while on Instagram, he reached 8k a few days ago. The boy first made heads turn this year by commenting on ulzzang Nyu Choi's Instagram post on the game Prism.
At first, he seemed to be yet another hater but progressively, netizens watched as their hatred turned into friendship, both parties eventually falling for each other and posting more often about each other, Sunwoo being the one who first started all these controversies by being the one Nyu had spoken up for.
Although some viewed Sunwoo in a negative light, saying that he was bad for the ulzzang, most subscribed to the relationship, their pairing Sunnyu (or Sunnew) even garnering their own fanpages.
However, when information about Sunwoo leaked (such as his real name), netizens can't help but feel that the gamer is making use of Nyu to ease his struggles.
Raised by a mere maid named Jeon Yuna who suffers from health complications and an absent father who had abandoned the family when Sunwoo was younger, Sunwoo had always lived with financial instability, so much so that he had dropped out of university. Much like him, his sister, Kim Seonmi, was raised with absent parental figures and currently, she is a second year in high school. The gamer works part-time in many places such as a restaurant, supermarket and convenience stores.
Despite his admirable efforts to sustain his family, our sources have told us that he evades paying his rent or his mother's hospital bills through guilt-tripping others and carries a lot of debt from borrowing money and never once returning them.
After this news was released, netizens can't help but view him to be exploiting Nyu for his wealth and possibly threatening the ulzzang's life and forcing him to aid with his disastrous family conditions, some even commenting on how it made sense that his father had left them long ago seeing how dysfunctional they are.
Just like that, the gamer has lost followers and more and more people are begging the ulzzang Nyu Choi to free himself from his grasp and to file a restraining order against him.
Neither Kim Sunwoo nor Nyu Choi have made comments on this issue but the hashtag #cancelkimsunwoo and #freenyu has started trending, taking over the negative comments against both Choi Junho and Lee Kara.
