once chanhee arrived at the amusement park, he was shocked to see all the lights still on and what shocked him more was the fact that his two best friends stood by the ticketing booth with annoyingly bright smiles on their faces.

"what the hell is this all about?" chanhee asked as he approached them, shoving his hands into his pockets as the pair continued smiling at him. "was everyone in on this?"

"well, originally it was-" kevin jabbed juyeon's sides with his elbow, forcing him to keep his words to himself just in case he were to spoil the surprise. clearing his throat, juyeon took out a lilac from his back pocket and offered it to chanhee who stared at the flower in confusion.

the lilac coloured lilac wore a white ribbon around its stem and, although chanhee was still cautious seeing as how grand and elaborate their entire scheme seemed to be, he couldn't help but be curious and tentatively, he took hold of the lilac. but the second he did, he was suddenly attacked by confetti (from handheld poppers that he didn't even realise juyeon and kevin were carrying).

before he could express his confusion and mild annoyance at the confetti hitting his eye, kevin took out his phone and started reading off of it. "so you know how the game works right chanhee?" he asked and when met with chanhee's incredulous stare, both he and juyeon could barely supress their laughter, finding it hilarious that the boy who had earned their sponsorship didn't even have the slightest clue as to what the game entailed. "well then, welcome to prism! i'll explain the rules for you-"

"where's sunwoo you morons-" juyeon smacked the back of his head, shushing him as kevin nodded and continued his explanation, a smile playing on his lips at how chanhee couldn't (and wouldn't) even fight against this ridiculous plot simply because he wanted to see sunwoo.

"rule one! like the game itself, you have limited health but since we can't measure that, these lilacs act as the hearts so the more you collect, the greater chance of surviving-"

"the fuck am i fighting-"

"rule two!" kevin shouted, drowning out chanhee's woes, the ex-ulzzang letting out a huff of air but nevertheless still listening to him. "in order to win and slowly get closer to your goal, you have to defeat the enemies through battle!"

"this is ridiculous-" juyeon placed his hand over chanhee's mouth and, if it weren't for the fact that he had already made an effort to be there, chanhee would've bitten him. but instead, he relented, biting his tongue to stop any more remarks from escaping.

"rule three! you only have until midnight to get to your goal or else, you'll be banned from the game!" kevin put his phone back into his pocket and handed chanhee a map of the amusement mark with little crosses marked on them. "every cross is a station-"

"but there's a cross here-"

"precisely! the day has come for me to take down choi chanhee!" juyeon proclaimed, cracking his knuckles as he received death glares from chanhee to which the dancer stuck his tongue out to.

despite how strange and just downright ridiculous the entire evening was shaping itself to be, chanhee couldn't help but smile at the effort that had been put in, not just by sunwoo but by the rest of his friends (still, his smile was mostly for sunwoo). the whole idea seemed completely out of the ordinary but when he thought more about it, that was exactly what he and sunwoo were — they were out of the ordinary and if chanhee had to think about it, he thought them to be extraordinary instead.

looking at the lilac in his hand with its cute little bowtie, with a sigh, chanhee looked straight into juyeon's eyes, an odd sense of determination to win kicking in.

"so what's the first game?"
