"There's no heartbeat."

The words echoed through my head as I watched Jahseh's face fall. "W-what?"

"I'm sorry," the doctor said. "I'll be back with prescriptions and paperwork."

She left the room and I looked at the floor before finally, looking up at Jahseh. He didn't look at me.

He was starting off at the wall behind me and I could see it in his eyes that this was breaking him.

"Baby?" I called for him.

He stood from the table and stormed out of the room. I couldn't make my legs work to follow after him.

I don't understand how one day the baby is here, and then the the next day... nothing. I can't understand it.

I wanted this baby more then I've ever wanted anything. I really wanted this for Jahseh. He's been wanting a baby for years. Years.

I can't even imagine how he feels right now.

I got into my car and started it.

I can't believe this. I can't believe my baby is gone that fast. She was here yesterday and now she's just... gone. No heartbeat.

How could she not have any heartbeat?

Before I realized it I was in the road, heading towards my moms house. This is her fault.

She did this to me.

I got out of my car and slammed the door, marching to her doorstep. I banged on her door.

She probably wasn't even awake but I need to say what I have to say.

A few minutes passed and I banged on her door once again. The door slowly opened and my mom rubbed her eyes as she took me in.

"What are you doing here?"

"I fucking hate you! You ruined everything you know that. You ruined everything for me." I yelled at her.

"What did I ruin?" She scoffed.

"You just had to go poking your nose in places it shouldn't be, now my baby is gone. She's gone and it's your fault. Everything was fine before I told you. I shouldn't have even included you in my life in the first place." I told her.

"The baby is gone? What are you talking about?"

"There's no heartbeat," my voice broke. "I lost the baby."

She looked at me with her mouth wide open. "I'm so so sorry."

"I want you out. I want you out of this house, I'm going to rent it out. I want you out of my house by tomorrow night. Or I'll be sending the police."

"I don't know, but figure it out. I'm done with you. I want you out of my house. Out of my life. And I'm taking you off my bank account and everything else. And the car I bought you will be getting repossessed in the morning. Figure it out. I'm just done," I yelled and went back to my car.

I started my car and left her house.
