Stef's: POV
I'm on my way to meet Lena at the doctor's office for her appointment
Here l sit in the middle of a freaking traffic jam as usual. I don't know people choose to come out around lunch time, Madison called me to invite out for a drink after work
But I told her. I had planned on spending the evening with Lena
Lena and I are getting ready to have a baby soon, l won't be able to go out as much. Lena said something this morning about going to the book store
Lena loves reading , as a eductor
She has to do a lot of research and on things. Lena's already three months along in her pregnancy, the morning sickness doesn't seem to wanna let up
Now cars are moving up. This is so much stuff where gonna need for this baby. I pulled up to the hospital
And saw Lena's car parked, l quickly exit my vehicle and head inside
I took the elevator up to fourth floor
Where l see Lena sitting looking at a magazine. Hey love sorry l'm late
Traffic was crazy Stef said, it's okay
I just got here ten minutes ago
Lena replied. We just and wait to be called back, Lena reaches for my hand. The nurse came out and
Says Lena's name we both got up
And followed her to the back
Where she takes Lena's weight
She writes stuff down in Lena's file
Then we go in the examing room
She asks general questions. Like how's feeling, Lena tells her about the morning sickness. She checks Lena's blood pressure, after she finishes
Maya takes some measurements
Of Lena's stomach while Lena's laying on the bed. She gives Lena a smock to put on, Maya leaves the room for a few minutes. Lena changes out of top
Then Dr. Abby Lockhart came into the room, talked to Lena a little bit
She proformed some routine test. That's when Maya came back in
And took four tubes of blood,
Dr. Lockhart renters the room
And did an ultrasound. She asked did we went to hear the babies heart beat
Lena simply told her yes, she put Gel
On Lena's belly and turn on the machine and moved the wand around
Then we heard the heart beat. Lena was practically in tears, as I held her hand. We looked at the computer screen and seen our little baby
It was to soon to ask about the gender
Your babies have a very strong heart beat, did you just say babies Stef says
Yes Lena and Stef you guys are having twins. Dr. Lockhart states, oh my God
I think I need to sit down for a minute
Stef replies, Lena is overcome with emotion she can't even keep her emotions in check. I'll print out some pictures for you, as you know twins can come early. Lena make sure you drink plenty of water and rest, you may wanna stop working when your six months depending how your at that point, l want you to come back in six weeks for another check up
You due date is in August the eight
Abby tells us. She hands me and Lena
Three black and white photos with a DVD, she wipes the Stuff off of Lena's stomach, and leaves the room so Lena can change back into her shirt
I don't think the news fully sunk in yet.
