Kayden's POV.
For the last three days Ava has been doing great. She has been building up a strong defense and also manages to talk and do other things during that time. My relations with mom and dad have been getting better. And even with my friends. Clay was almost as surprised as me when I thanked him for sticking by my side.
Though he spanked my behind and said that now we had solidified our friendship, nothing could come between us. I did feel uncomfortable for the rest of my time because I couldn't get that spank out of my head. It was the most weird thing ever. But that's Clayton and I know if he is given a chance, he would do that again.
I also ended things with Stephanie and Jessica and Rachel. They needed to know that I was done having just sex. I needed something serious with someone I adore. And I know that Ava is the only person I see myself with in future.
I've also come to admit that although she deserves better, I can be that better for her. She deserves it. Especially because she likes me too. I wouldn't want to take that choice away from her. As long as she wants me, I'll be there. And it will completely be her choice to throw me out of her life if I do something bad again. Though I would fight for her. I'd always fight for her.
I asked her to meet me at the park again so I could spend some time with her. Alone, just to know her. Because I feel really embarassed because I don't know anything about her at all. A warm coffee and ice cream sounded great at night when I asked her out.
It's not a date yet.
Her first date cannot be so simple, it has to be extravagant and amazing for her. And I would do just that as soon as we are done with Aldrik once and for all. It's all supposed to end. And Ava will do it soon. I can always see the frustation on her face and in her eyes whenever someone talks about him.
I parked my car in the lot and made my way towards the front of the cafe but I wasn't expecting to see Ava there with someone else. In someone else's arms and his lips on hers. My light sprint came to a slow walk and then to a complete stop and I just saw them both. I couldn't see Ava, I could just see her hair colour and her forehead.
She pushed the guy away and yelled something at him, I couldn't hear. My ears were ringing and I could only hear my heart beat in my ears.
"-m! How dare you!" She yelled and kneed him in the groin. My eyes widened because the blow was so powerful I felt in my own area. Before she could say something else, she spotted me and made a move for me to come closer to her. I just stood there and watched.
Because I was hurt. I didn't want to be anywhere near her. Wasn't she- wait. Fuck. Fuck. That son of a motherfucking asshole!
I saw red.
I didn't know when I ran towards them. I don't know when I grabbed his collar and I don't know when I began hitting his face over and over again. Aiming for his jaw and lips, I gave him a whole damn face change. Because he forced himself on her.
"Okay okay. Stop. He is unconscious." Ava said urgently. Her voice was shaking and I know it wasn't from the cold or from the recent assult she faced. It was solely because she was angry.
And I couldn't believe that she still stood there by my side while I was hitting him. She didn't cringe away or run. She didn't cry or make a scene. She just watched me beat the crap out of him. And me being a boxer, it made me proud that my girl isn't afraid of such things.
Could she be anymore amazing?
"I'm sorry. I was caught up in the jam. Are you okay?" I asked nearing her. She didn't reply, instead took my hand in hers and inspected the bruised knuckles.
