“What happened?” I started to ask.
“You mean, who cause the accident?”
“Me?”
“Gosh! Don’t tell me you have this.. Ah- temporary amnesia? Mabuti nalang hindi mo pa nakakalimutan yang sarili mo”
He’s sarcastic but sounds gay. He’s lucky I’m injured because all I could think right now is to struggle him to death.
“Hindi mo ba naaalala. We were chased by two cars. If you wanna asked me again who are they. Easy question! those are the people who wanted you dead, by the way” ngayon ay seryoso na ito.
I turned my eyes outside the window not far from the bed. I was trying to remember everything from the start. But I failed to do so.
“You’re lucky I was there” he added.
I turned my head to looked at him again. He’s right. Maybe I have this so called temporary amnesia because I can’t really remember what happened.
Nakita nito ang blanko kong mukha.
“Hell! Don’t tell me you really don’t remember?!” Napatayo ito sa kinauupuan saka mabilis na lumapit sa kama ko. Nakalimutan na din nitong gamitin ang saklay. Parang hindi talaga ito kumbinsido sa sinabi ko kanina na wala nga akong maaalala sa nangyari at sa mga sinasabi nito.
“Not exactly. I remember everything except that incident. The last thing I remember is me driving the car... and” I was trying to remember ...pero wala talaga akong maaalala kahit pilit na hinuhukay ko iyon sa isip.
“and” he repeat and a little expectant.
“...and that was it”
Bumagsak ang balikat nito.
“Baka nagkaroon ka lang ng conccussion” hindi na ito umasa pa.
Paika - ika itong bumalik sa sofa habang may binubulong sa hangin.
“Pero mas mabuti ngang hindi mo na maalala pa”
I was about to ask what he just muttered but the door suddenly opened. Ckiara was standing by the door.

My heartbeat went fast than the normal state. Good grace! My heartbeat is trying to betray me! Not so fast buddy!
“Good timing! Kanina pa ako nagugutom” Ang boses ni Bax ang bumasag sa katahimikan.
Bax snatch the plastic bag from Ara’s hand. Hindi nga nito napansin na nagkatitigan kami.
This is the firsttime she looked at me with her bare eyes. I can’t stop but to looked at her too. I was amazed by those eyes. Parang dinadala ako no’n sa ibang dimensiyon.
Damn her effect on me. I can’t loose my self now lalo na at kasama pa namin si Bax. Aatakihin ata ako sa puso neto.
“Wow. This is so delicious! Where did you buy this, Ara” Si Bax na busy sa paglantak sa siopao.
I grabbed the pillow beside me. Gusto kong ibato iyon kay Bax dahil naagaw nito ang atensiyon ni Ara. She was looking at him now. And yes ! I’m getting jealous!
“Sa convenience store malapit lang dito sa hospital” she answered.
Napaayos ako nang makita ko sa gilid ng mata ko ang mabagal na paglapit nito sa direksiyon ko. Akala ko ay tatabi ito kay Bax.
Hindi ko mapigilang mapalunok.
This feelings is trying to betray me. What’s wrong with me. Ako 'ata ang bakla sa aming dalawa ni Bax.
I nervously and unconciously touched my neck. It’s the stupidiest thing I do. Why am I like this.
