Enjoy!

I sighed as I sat up in the bed. My wound still aching at my side. I looked out the window into the darkness and observed the moon.
The shit I got myself into. The shit I got Rae into.
There was no way I was going out like that. I had to do what I had to do. There is no negotiating or begging for mercy. If I didn't act in the manner I did, I wouldn't be here right now. I can't regret anything. I don't regret anything.
It was hard to asleep at night. Knowing the whole Italian mafia was looking for me. I know Rae raised her security at the house, but still. I never would doubt Rae and I's power, but the commission still houses some powerful men. They were on the commission for a reason.
We ultimately would have to leave Italy until we could figure out how we were going to do our operation. I know that's something Rae didn't want to hear. Our best bet would be the United States. I have contacts there and I'm sure Rae does too. She's from the U.S., so a plus would be seeing her family? I'm not sure her status with them.
Before we could go to the U.S., there were two things that needed to be done. They weren't small things either. I'll owe Rae my entire life if she agrees to do these with me. Once those two things are done, we can leave Italy.
I'll ask when she's in a good mood tomorrow.
Eventually, I fell asleep and it was the next morning. I woke up around 8:00 am, which is around the normal time I wake up. I'm a little surprised to be waking up at the same time because of my lack of sleep.
But the show must go on.
A knock sounded from the door and I assume it's the maid.
"Yes?"
"Good morning, Ms. Lyon is awaiting you in her dining room for breakfast. I can escort you if you'd like." She said softly.
"No, I'm okay. I'll come down in a couple minutes."
"Very well."
I got out the bed and started to get ready for the day. Let me not keep Ms. Lyon waiting. I switched out my bandage to a fresh new one with more ointment. I can't wait to take this shit off.
I finally was done and came down the stairs. Hmm, the dining room...where could it be? After some failed attempts, I finally found the room.
"Took you long enough." Rae commented. She was seated at the head of the table. She looked very comfortable in the black track suit she had on. I decided to go with a black sweater, black jeans and my Jordan's. I had some clothes brought by some trust men the first night I stayed here.
"My apologies, madam." I joked. I sat next to her and gave her a smile. "I'm ready whenever you are."
Rae nodded towards her maid to and she had served us some breakfast. This was fancy, I didn't have a maid of my own or anything like that. I had money, but let's just say I wasn't very efficient with it. I'm sure Rae handled her money much better.
I started to dig into breakfast and it was really good. I hadn't had home cooked meal in a long time. Mostly due to the fact I spend late nights which turn into early mornings at my club. I would wake up in the VIP section with a bottle of Jack on my right and then some random chick on my left. Then, I'd get a snack and keep it pushing for the day. I guess I'd just snack all day.
I need to get my life together.
"How is it?" Rae pulled me from my thoughts.
"It's great, you're lucky to have such a good cook. I was just thinking how I haven't had a home cooked meal in a long time." I shook my head as I continued to eat.
