Sheesh y'all, I know its been a minute. I apologize for that. The semester has been crazy.
Let's do this!
Recap:
"You guys see Rae's truck in the driveway?" I asked them.
"Nah, we definitely would've seen it. Like we always do." Matteo said. "Rae!"
"Rae?!" I hollered.
No fuckin' response.
I called her phone. It rang.
And rang.
And rang.
Something ain't right.
"I'm going to the restaurant." I made a beeline to the car. I think Leo and Matteo were behind me, I had one thing on my mind right now. I got in the truck and they just so happened to be there. I know I was moving fast, but I had to hurry up.
"Calm down, D. I'm sure she's fine."
"Nah, something is wrong." I pulled out and stepped on the gas. I was following no type of speed limit. We reached the restaurant finally and my heart sped up when I saw her truck in the front. Is she here? If she is, she wasn't answering her phone. I parked behind her and ran into the restaurant, straight to the kitchen.
"You see Rae?" I asked the men.
"She went to pick up the shipment last I saw, Boss. We've been slammed tonight, I wasn't paying much attention." One of them said.
"The shipment was two hours ago and you ain't seen her since?!" I yelled. They were silent which gave me my answer. I busted through the back of the door to see nothing but darkness.
I began to walk out, but stepped on something. I looked to see our clipboard on the ground.
With specks of blood on it...
"Oh no no no no." I crouched down in agony as I put my hand over my mouth. I was taking in the reality before me.
Someone took her.
Donovan
I pulled myself together and stood back up. I grabbed the clipboard off the ground. My mind was racing a million miles a second. Replaying over and over again. She's gone, she's gone.
She's gone.
Tears were threatening to come out my eyes. I heard the door bust open behind me. Leo and Matteo ran out. I turned to look at them and they grew scared when they saw the look in my eyes.
"Donovan what is it?" Leo came up as he retrieved the clipboard from me.
"I-S-She..." I couldn't even get the words out. Matteo and him examined the clipboard to see the specks of blood.
"Someone has her..." Leo realized what was going on. He looked at me to confirm and I nodded. "Shit."
"Fuck. I should've been the one to take the shipment." Matteo shook his head, "I knew it."
"That shit doesn't matter now. We just fucking need to act fast." I finally was able to talk again. "I mean where the fuck do we start?!"
"Let's go down to the room." Leo opened the door and made a beeline to the basement. "Alright, let's see this camera feed."
Matteo sat down and began to pull up the cameras. I looked at my watch.
"This was like two hours ago, try 7." I told him. He pulled up the timestamp and then pulled up the part where she was walking out the door. All of us leaned in to get a better look.
