As morning came, I woke up at the first light of the sun. I emerged from the tent to see that the snowstorm had already passed by. I was hoping that I should allow Mya and her grandmother to join the clan since the reminding clans tried to take the Dragon Gem. I could never forgive them for what they did. As soon as Liu was up and about, we went over to Mya and her grandmother to get ready. The Fang clan were confused about why the two remaining Spine clan people were in the deserted village. I told them that they needed to come along and join the clan for a while."Are you sure Spine is not gonna attack us?" one of the people asked.
"The village is empty," I explained. "Mya and Granny are all that's left now."
"She's right," Granny added. She then scolded the clan. "The Dragon Gem has died because you can't stop fighting over it."
I sighed. "Sisu will still be within our hearts so we need to trust them. Okay?"
Everyone began to think this through and they agreed. Liu knew this would work. Sisu's trust and peace has gotten better now. "Where are we going actually?" Mya asked.
"Up north. We need to get away from the Druun." As I told them, Granny gathered the giant wagon from the hill. The Spine warriors so it can carry a few passengers. I begin to hook Tuk Tuk in and a few Serlots to pull the wagon. It seemed very big enough to carry a few people inside. I placed Lady onto the wagon as I placed my bag inside.
"The Spine warriors surely built a lot of stuff," Liu said, admiring this huge wagon.
Mya nodded as she packed some food and her ax in the wagon." I have never been on this journey for a long time," Mya replied, worried she would never go out. "I wonder how the other clans are doing?"
"Don't worry. I'm sure they will make it out alive." I hopped onto the wagon and started entering the front and controlling the reins of the wagon.
As the Spine's snowy forest disappeared, we traveled through the fields following the dry river. With no water dragon, the river was like a desert. Mya and Granny stayed inside the wagon as I walked on foot. Lady was taken care of by Liu who brushed her feathers with my hair brush. I begin to think about Namaari and the others from home. I can't believe how far we had traveled. Liu poked her head out of the wagon's curtain.
"I was hoping that there should be someone left alive there," Liu replied. For a moment, she turned to me still looking outside of the wagon. "Ko, what were you thinking about?"
I didn't answer. I looked at the Dragon Gem and petted it. I started to think of what happened when Namaari tried to give the gem to the Heart clan warrior.
"I'm thinking that Namaari didn't mean to hurt Sisu," I began to think, guessing that Namaari never meant to. "It's because Raya didn't trust her."
"Namaari didn't mean to hurt her?" Mya asked, confused. She didn't get to see what had happened. "I wonder why?"
"Maybe Raya wanted her father back and took every gem piece back," I guess, thinking about Raya. "She doesn't understand everything about dragons. She deserved it, being eaten by the Druun."
My friends didn't respond. But they knew why Raya killed Sisu in the first place.
"I don't think it's true," Granny disagreed. She still believed that there was still good in Namaari. "I know your sister didn't mean to hurt Sisu."
"Raya was just blinded by rage and hate like the Druun," Liu agreed. "It's not her fault."
I begin to think that over. The Druun are like rage and hate just like what Raya is. "So rage made her that way. That's why Sisu died."
