Shira and the others have arrived at the Empire State building as Leo and Casey opened up the doors for Pavi and the others to get in. They climbed onto the floor and were helped up by the boys as Meloetta floated by. Sakura and Akua held on to Pavi's shoulders and arms while she held them carefully while Chipzie floated next to her. They are now inside the main hallway of the building. Unlike the sewers that are intact of what befell, Metro Tower wasn't so lucky.

For the first time, Shira saw destruction and death when she entered. Sunlight filled the tentacled covered windows, revealing the room in a state of horror. Many of the walls were battered and covered with Krang mass, while the glass from the windows lay scattered across the floor. Like the tentacles they found in the building, Shira and the others found something above the ceiling. There is something stuck in it. It was a pink, large, translucent pod. Looking around, they saw that there were more pods laid. Shira flew to it to get a close look, only to catch something inside. Something large, human sized. Celebi floated to Shira's side hoping that whoever inside was still alive. This time, with the sun's rays leaking in the building, they can see all of their faces.

Hundreds of them... Among them were dozens of lifeless corpses hanging on the ceiling. Some of them resemble workers who have been consumed by the mass and some placed in giant pink pods. Dilated pinkish eyes stared back at them. There is no life in their gaze, no sign of consciousness or pulse. They were dead. All of the skin is withered and translucent like one sucked all of the blood. The once blond skin had been drained and being replaced by a mix of pinkish and blackish ooze. Shira slowly backed away, shivering in disgust at the sight of the bodies.

"So this is Metro Tower?" Pavi asked Shira, staring at the entire ruins of the building.

"Yes..." she nodded. "This is the tallest building in the city and it looked worse than before."

"Oh, man. Is this what the future looks like?" Leo asked, feeling uncomfortable.

Casey shook his head. "No, the future is worse. Much worse."

Shira shivered. "Like the land of the dead."

If the smell seemed bad before, it has gotten even worse. Shira felt her hair stand up and shudder as Reika covered her mouth. The reaction was quick. The loggerhead turned and her stomach forced its way up and vomited a few morsels of digestion before looking up with dazed eyes. Pavi began to gag and covered her nose while the other yokai trembled in fear. It was very uncomfortable to see so many countless corpses in the pods, floating and watching them.

Leo began to lift up his communicator. Perhaps his siblings have made it out by now. "Donnie, Mikey, Tomo, Mana, do you read me?"

A voice buzzed from the speaker. "Come in, Leo. Come in, Leo."

Leo's eyes grew wide. He recognized that voice, his twin's voice. "Donnie. Donnie, where are you?" he asked, frantically.

"We've extracted ourselves from the subway and are currently ascending a staircase."

Pavi, Casey and the three turtles began to hear footsteps coming from the hallway down below. A staircase? Boy, they sounded real close. At that moment, a familiar group had arrived at where they had stood there. Shira turned the attention and saw her siblings, friends and her dad appear at the top of the stairs. Pavi's eyes went wide when she saw her brother, panting heavily and out of breath. With a burst of joy, she ran and hugged him, so glad that he was okay. The group turned and saw the three turtles and Casey. They ran to them, relieved that they were still alive. But Donnie was completely distracted.

He was gabbling where he could find them using his algorithm. "I'm getting a lot of interference, but if you hold still, I can triangulate your position using a complex geolocation algorithm."
