The mountains seemed a lot taller than I imagined. Tail and Talon had joined our group since we met. Chiya never trusted us at first, but she regretted it when I told about Sisu's death and the Druun. They felt ashamed about what had happened. It's like we finally got all the clans together, except for Heart who had been turned to stone for six years. After five hundred years, we got all four clans reunited. I stared as the snowy air flew down my hair. My mom told me about the mountains. It was where mountain creatures live here and a strange kingdom in the middle of the biggest mountain. They can build a iron creature and make flying eagles made of metal and even make strange powerful weapons. They are very high and steep and it was a long climb to the top.
They said that they are mysterious and strange. I stared at the portrait of the Celebi and began to repeat the words. "Seek within the person with the rainbow in the eye and the Celebi will glow. Stoke up the magic in the gem... then watch the sparkle swirls that spin so well." I need to remember that prophecy. I really didn't want to forget that scroll and that legend.
Mya poked her head from the wagon and looked above. "I think we're in the mountains," she said.
"I heard about this," Granny said, admiring the mountain view. "My great grandmother told me that the people who live here are gentle beings."
"So what do they look like?" Sora asked as he poked his head from the wagon.
"I don't know. This is the first time we've seen them."
I was a little concerned about this. Sky people in the mountains. How could they be? "You sure about that, Mya?"
"Of course, Ko! We never saw a single person in the sky."
"We're totally going the wrong way," Chiya said, annoyed.
"No," I corrected it. "No, Chiya, we are. It's maybe because the air seemed tense."
Lady nestled to the cloth bundle flapping her wings and clucked softly. She pecked on a few bread crumbs left by my leftovers. Tuk Tuk suddenly stopped, tired. I looked down and saw what had happened. Liu jumped off, followed by Sora.
"Sorry for pushing too hard, Tuk," I said.
"Ko, I don't think we can't go any further," Liu moaned, weakly. She seemed very exhausted and tired, as if she was drained of climbing the mountain. Everyone seemed to be very tired from all that climbing.
"Liu's right," Sora added. "Everyone is tired."
I begin to think for a moment. "Okay. We'll rest here."
Everyone agreed and began to settle down at noon. I took out my canister and drank a few drips. I fed some fruit to Tuk Tuk and corn for Lady. I looked around and saw everyone getting along. Chai sell some flowers to some flowers while Sora lifted his telescope for any survivors. Chiya sat on the rock, still thinking about Sisu's death. The fog was beginning to become muggy and unable to see far distances. I was getting worried.
"I wonder what happened to Heart?" Liu wondered as she rested on a rock.
"I don't know," I wondered. I still begin to think about what happened six years ago back when the clans visited Heart. "When I was just six, I saw that the gem had broken. The Druun had split from the ground and started turning every Heart person into stone."
I sighed. I still can't forgive what happened when everyone didn't trust each other. All of a sudden, I begin to hear something from below the hill. I looked down and saw that it was a person. She was wearing sky blue steampunk-like clothes with pilot's goggles. Her brown hair was tied with a braid. She was fidgeting over a strange object which turned out to be a machine. This wasn't a clan in the mountains before, wasn't it? This was very strange for a person who lived in the mountains.
"Aw man! I can't believe I can't get this machine to work," the girl mumbled to herself. I went down there and asked what was wrong. From behind, Liu saw what was going on.
"Hello there. Is something wrong?" I asked the strange girl.
"I can't seem to get this jet to function properly," she murmured, turning over to me. She has freckles on her cheeks and her eyes are blue. "Must be caused by those Shimons."
From her shoulder, a small tiny black bat poked its head from behind. It has a fluffy collar around its neck and huge bat ears. It's got small pointy teeth peeking from its mouth with blue eyes. Liu then came over and smiled. "Hi, new friend! My name's Liu!"
I sheepishly blushed as I introduced her to the newcomer. Chuckling nervously, I got behind her, before the cheerful girl poked her head from behind my back.
"This is Liu, my friend," I tried to say kindly, before introducing myself to the others. "And over here is Mya, Sora, Chiya and Granny."
The strange girl looked over and gasped. "You didn't tell me you brought all the clans here." After a few seconds, she looked around when she noticed one clan missing. "But where is the Heart clan?"
"The Heart is gone now," Mya said. But the Spine warrior seemed curious about how this small little worker appeared in the mountains. "But how did you know about us?"
"Oh, we used to be together five hundred years ago but one day, we had traveled up north. So who are you?"
"I'm Kora," I introduced myself. "So you got a name or what?"
"The name is Sky," the girl said. "On my shoulder here is Fei Fei."
Lady took a look at the small bat which squeaked and fluttered off. Lady let out a squawk and jumped into my arms.
"The chicken here is Lady. It's written on her necklace," I explained, "This over here is Tuk Tuk, Raya's former pet. But now he's mine."
"We never had any company since this happened," the girl replied as she took off her goggles to reveal bright green eyes. "What are you doing up there?"
I began to explain the story. "The Druun had taken over the city and most of our friends we know had been turned to stone."
Sky was shocked for a moment. She can't believe this all happened. "What?! How?" the girl asked.
I told Sky everything about what had happened. I explained that the dragons fought the Druun but they got turned to stone, explained that Sisu had been killed by Raya, how the Druun consumed my family and how we needed to go north to get away. I also explained that the three clans came along to the never ending journey. The young girl begins to understand how this happened.
"Oh. I see," she said softly, hearing this tragic story of mine. "I'm sorry for your loss. My clan have been trying to escape the Druun but since they can't climb up there, we build our kingdom up top. Why don't you come along with me?"
"What do you mean? You're not from around here?" Chiya barked..
"I'm from the Wing clan kingdom right when we split into six," Sky said.
My eyes went sideways. You mean there are more clans than us? My heart was racing. "Six?" Sora asked, confused. "But there were only five."
"Of course," the Sky clan girl said. "Five in the south, and one more in the north."
"So you are called the Wing clan. It's a pleasure to meet you," Granny smiled kindly, greeting the young woman.
I never knew that there were six. Six clans of each clan. I thought there could be a Horn, Mane, or Scale clan since there weren't any.
"Don't you know where your kingdom is?" Sora asked.
"It's near the tallest mountain above," Sky explained.
She left the machine and urged them to follow. Liu started to follow as well faster as usual.
"It's a good thing I like climbing things," she complained, as the Fang girl climbed up.
After a few minutes, the four clans were back on their feet and following Sky toward the kingdom of Wing. I was certain that the fog in the air was cloudy. I can't even see anything. My friends nervously and carefully walked onto a few steps.
