Luke's POV

"Dear god, you guys make me sick." Michael crinkled his nose in disgust.

"What are you a homophobe?" Ashton sassed.

"No it's not that, it's the fact that a vampire is kissing a stupid mundie like you."

I smiled at Michael and bent down to kiss Ashton again.

"No, no please don't do that. Ugh." He turned his back to us and we broke apart, smiling.

"Wait Michael you're not stopping us... are you finally accepting us?" Ashton smirked.

"What? No! It's disgusting." Michael folded his arms.

"I don't believe you." I smirked with Ashton.

Michael sighed and rolled his eyes. "Can we please focus on more important things here?"

"Yes, of course. Where should we start?"

"Lets start with what we're going to do with Ashton."

"What do you mean?" Ashton asked.

"Well you have too many connections. It's risky."

"No you can't let me go, I'll have no where to go!" He panicked.

"I'm never going to leave you, Ashton." I soothed him and snaked my arms around his waist in a protective gesture.

"Calm down, I wasn't suggesting that." Michael rolled his eyes again for the second time in the past two minutes.

"Well what were you saying?" I asked.

"Gimme your phone." Michael put his palm out to Ashton.

He slowly pulled out his phone from his back pocket and warily gave it to Michael.

"Michael don't do anythi-"

Ashton was cut off as Michael threw his phone to the ground and stomped on it, shattering the phone completely with his vampire strength.

"I spent my birthday money on that!' Ashton whined.

"I'll get you another one." I reassured him. "We just can't risk being tracked."

"I know."

"Look I just want to make sure, are you certain you want to stay with us? If you are, there's no going back."

"I'm sure. My parents are monsters. They may kill bad supernatural creatures but they also seek the innocent and I won't take it." He crossed his arms and lifted his chin in the air as if to show confidence in his decision.

I smiled reassuringly and he smiled back.

"Alright, we need to ditch this infected town, where shall we go?" Michael pulled out a map.

"You know where I've always wanted to go?" Ashton said.

"Where?" Michael and I both asked.

"Australia."

"I like that." I said and we all smiled.

Ashton's POV

*tap tap*

Calum walked up to the window and opened it. He squinted to see me. He had just woken up from a deep sleep and his hair was a mess. His curls were frizzy and his blonde streaks were sticking up in the air. He was only wearing boxer shorts.

"Ashton-"

"I know you said I couldn't talk to you but please."

He squinted at me for a moment before opening his window wider so I could climb inside.

"What do you need?" Calum was no longer squinting and he was more awake now than he was seconds ago.

"I just came to say goodbye..."

"Where are you going?" Calum was definitely awake now.

"Australia."

"Holy crap man, that's like half-way around the world."

"Yeah, that's why I wanted to come say goodbye, you know, since we might never seeing each other again. Like for a very long time at least. Well if we were in the same town we might run into eachother and stuff but-"

"I'm glad you did." Calum managed to pull a small smile.

"I miss the way things were." I said.

"Me too." Calum looked down.

"I have Luke now though, and I couldn't be happier in a way."

"That's good."

"Are we ever going to talk about the time you kissed me?"

"I, um, was just experimenting. That's all."

"Thats all?"

"Look, I'll admit, I kind of thought I had a crush on you but it's nothing."

"Well I can't blame you, I mean look at me. I'm fabulous." I joked.

Calum laughed and it made me more nostalgic.

"Hey, promise you'll visit me."

"Promise."

"I have to go." I walked over to Calum and gave him a hug. It lasted a long time, until one of us finally decided to pull away.

"Love you, good luck in Australia."

"Love you too Cal." I climbed down the window and looked back at Calums house one more time before continuing on the new road ahead. Australia. I smiled.

Well we weren't going under the best conditions, we were escaping from something, but I was excited nevertheless.
