Ashton's POV

I closed my eyes, almost expecting to be hit with an impact but when I opened my eyes, I was standing safely next to Luke on the sidewalk and we were still holding hands.

I stumbled and fell into Luke's arms. He caught me and held me tightly.

"We need to get away from the building." He tugged my arm and led me away.

I squeezed my eyes shut and resisted against Luke's pulling.

He stopped, suddenly concerned. "Hey Ash..."

"It's just so loud out here... you know... the bank was quieter." I mumbled.

"I know. I know. But we have to get away from here before we get spotted." He softly kissed my forehead and took my arm again, leading us away from the horrible building and towards our apartment.

When we entered the apartment, I recoiled almost instantly when the burning smell of alcohol hit my nose. I couldn't control my powers and all my senses were on overload.

Even Luke crinkled his nose in disgust. "Michael?" He called warily.

Michael stumbled into the room and when he saw us, the bottle of whiskey slipped from his hands and shattered on the floor.

"Am I seeing things?" He looked at us, his eyes wild.

"Michael!" I heard Sabrina call. She stumbled into the main room as well and gasped when she saw us.

She then turned her attention to Michael and frowned when she saw the spilled alcohol on the floor.

She looked exhausted.

"WHY?" Michael bellowed at Luke.

Luke didn't look surprised at Michaels outburst and stood there calmly.

"You're drunk." Luke said sharply.

"You didn't answer my question. Why did you leave us?" He slurred.

"I didn't! Michael please get sober and I'll explain everything after."

Luke and Michael bantered back and forth. Meanwhile, Sabrina turned her attention to me.

"Holy shit."

I didn't know how to respond.

I quietly tugged on Luke's sleeve.

His demeanor changed and went from furious to soft. "Yes?"

"Um... how do we tell them about the um... what do I call it? Transformation?"

"Fucking hell Luke, what happened?" Sabrina asked.

"I don't even really know myself." Luke replied.

"What do you mean?" Sabrina was getting impatient.

"It means that I don't fucking know what happened. Ashton should be fucking rabid right now and he's not so just leave us the fuck alone." Luke snapped.

I don't think I've ever heard Luke swear as much as right now.

Sabrina pressed her lips together and said nothing. She grabbed Michael by that arm and dragged him into to the bedroom. She returned seconds later to clean up Michaels mess.

Luke took my hand and brought us into our bedroom.

He ran his hands through his hair. "I don't even know where to start."

I quietly sat down on the bed. I didn't know either.

"Just... just start from the beginning." Luke told me and I did. I told him everything.
