Chapter 1: Drives & Dreams

Carissa's POV

"OH MY GOD MOM! ARE YOU SERIOUS?" My best friend, Katie, screamed.

I laughed hysterically when I saw Katie on the floor of the car after her mom stepped on the brakes. Suddenly, I fell right on top of Katie when her mom swerved to the left. "Not so funny now is it?" Katie laughed.

Katie invited me to a meet and greet and concert in LA, which is 3 hours away from where we live. We missed a day of school, but who cares? By this time we were 10 minutes away from the hotel and beyond excited.

*10 minutes later*

We walked into the gorgeous hotel room and put our stuff down. We decided to go to the pool, so we put our swimsuits on.

We walked to the elevator in just our swimsuits and saw this weird guy walking towards us. We ran to the elevator and made sure we closed the door right away.

After that, we burst out laughing. "That was creepy," I said still laughing. "Tell me about it," Katie said while still bursting in laughter.

We made our way to the hot tub and relaxed, making sure to save up our energy for the concert. After fooling around in the pool and hot tub, we made our way back up to our room to get ready.

Katie's POV

Right now, Carissa and I were getting ready. Carissa and I ironed out our clothes as we took turns using the tiny bathroom sink and mirror.

I put on my hollister skinny jeans, my alien Brandy Melville shirt, and my converse. I straightened my hair and left it down. Then I did my makeup, which consisted of: a nude eyeshadow, mascara, BB cream, and some lip gloss.

I looked over at Carissa and saw that she was all ready to go. Carissa had on a black Brandy Melville shirt that had the initials CA on a pocket, abercrombie skinny jeans, and a red flannel tied around her waist. She had also straightened her hair and applied mascara and some tinted chapstick.

After we had finished the last touches to our appearances, it was time to leave. About half way there, the fact that I was meeting the love of my life, Hayes Grier, started to sink in.

And honey, that was not pretty. I freaked out so much.

I'm pretty sure I said, "Oh My God" about 100,000,000 times the whole car ride there. Carissa was just watching me freak out and silently laughing.

"How are you not freaking out right now, Carissa?" I asked. "I honestly don't even know." She replied laughing.

C'mon Katie you got this, you can do it! my conscience chanted. "Ooooohh, I'll try." I retorted, not realizing that I had spoken out loud. "What?" Carissa asked, with a confused expression on her face. I looked down, slightly blushing, "Oh nothing," I said trying to seem normal.

I looked out the car window suddenly realizing that WE WERE IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE PLACE WHERE WE ARE GOING TO MEET MY FUTURE HUSBAND!! I took deep breaths trying to calm myself down but it didn't work. I WAS GOING CRAZY, MY INNER FANGIRL DYING TO COME OUT.

I glanced at Carissa, still not believing that we were going to meet him. She looked at me and said, "Are you ready?" "Let's do this thing," I practically yelled. Then we stepped out of the car, walking towards the one who means most to me.
