Chapter 15: Lounging

Katie's POV

"Carissa, words can even explain how it felt. It was so magical. I had a million butterflies in my stomach. It was a feeling I've never felt before." I explained to my best friend.

"Ohmigoshhhh. Was it good?!" She asked.

"You know it was my first time. And believe me I was scared at first. I didn't know how to do anything. All I did was what I saw in movies and stuff. But I'm guessing it wasn't too bad because he said he liked it." I said happily.

"Aaaa you guys are so cute!! I ship itttt!" Carissa said excitedly.

"He ju-just makes me so crazy. He's just perfect. It's like I can do anything around him. And that kiss, so full of passion, I never wanted it to end. Carissa, this is a new feeling. I've never felt this way about anyone. Not even Justin." I confessed.

Justin was my ex boyfriend. We were together for a long time. I had always liked him, but he never knew I existed. He was Mr. Popular. We were lab partners for Science and I guess we just clicked. I was happy being around him, but I never felt like I do now.

Carissa's eyes widened. "Are you sure?! Are you telling me what I think you're telling me?! OMG?! WHAT IF IT'S TRUE?! MY BEST FRIEND IS IN LO-" I cut in

"SHUT YOUR TRAP!" I yelled to Carissa.

"Sorry." She replied, smirking.

"It's fine. Okay, now back to the subject, I think I......... love him." I breathed.

"This is a huge deal. How do you know?" Carissa said intently.

"When he kissed me, I just knew he was the one. I know it sounds cliché, but it's true. It's indescribable."

I heard loud footsteps coming towards her room.

"Okay. Shut up and act natural." I instructed.

I got onto my phone, and Carissa played with her hair. I was sitting on the rolly chair by the desk and Carissa was lounging on the bed.

Dylan came running into the door first and jumped on to Carissa like a starfish.

Hayes came right after and jumped on my lap.

"Ha! I beat you." Dylan told Hayes. "Whatever." Hayes answered.

"Oh My God, Hayes, you're crushing me." I panted, looking at him. "You know you like it when I sit on your lap." He said and winked.

"You've only sat on my lap once. Which is right now." I told him. "You know you like it though." He shot back. "Ya, okay." I said sarcastically.

My phone started ringing and it was my mom.

"Carissa! It's my mom!" I yelled.

*Phone Conversation*

M: Hello? Katie?
K: Mom! Oh my gosh I was so worried! Did you take the plane?
M: Honey, I was so scared! Ya, I thought you were on the plane too! I was almost in tears when I figured out that I left you two in LA.
K: Oh, Mom I miss you so much but don't worry, I'm at Hayes' uncle's beach house.
M: Okay, is Carissa alright?
K: Yes Mom, everyone's fine. We're having a great time. Take all the time you need to relax all by yourself.
M: Okay thanks sweetie, call me tomorrow.
K: Okay Mom, love you!
M: Love you too Katie! I'll make sure to tell Carissa's parents that you two are at YOUR uncle's house so they don't get worried!
K: Thanks Mom! Bye!

"Okay, so why'd you come up here?" I asked Dylan and Hayes. "Oh ya, we wanted to see if you guys wanted to come swimming with us." "First, we are girls, not guys. Second, that sounds fun." Carissa replied giggling.
