Hayes's POV

I was laying down on my bed contemplating life. Just kidding I'm contemplating my feelings for Katie.

I knew something was there, I'm not going to deny it. I have to make her mine. I need a plan.

I walked over to Dylan's room to consult. "Sup bro," I said and sat in the desk chair. "Yo," He said, while on his phone.

"So, I've been meaning to ask Katie out. There's been so much going on, I haven't had the chance to. I wanted to set up something romantic, on the beach. She loves romance." I said.

"Sounds good," Dylan replied.

I went upstairs to Carissa's room to tell her my plan and to keep Katie inside. She agreed.

I went outside and started putting the arrangements together.

I got a table with a nice white table cloth, got some light up torches and some candles, and got some roses from the floral shop.

I picked up some salmon, a salad, and some drinks from a restaurant. By the time I got everything ready, it was about 4:30.

I hopped in the shower and put on some khaki pants and a denim collared shirt with a blue and orange print. I washed my face, combed my hair, and brushed my teeth again.

I put out all of the food and told Carissa that it was time.

"You look nice," She smiled.

"Thanks," I replied.

Carissa went inside to get Katie.

"Katie! Hayes is hurt and I need your help!" She yelled frantically.

I heard footsteps come down the stairs.

Katie's POV

I was in my room watching TV when I heard Carissa yell, "Katie! Hayes is hurt and I need your help!"

"Oh My Gosh, is he okay!" I yelled while grabbing my flip flops and running downstairs in my mint green skinny jeans and white floral crop top. I had straightened my hair earlier.

I ran onto the beach until I saw Hayes and a beautiful set up. I covered my mouth with my hand, my eyes watering.

"Oh My God," I mumbled to myself while walking closer to Hayes. I ran towards Hayes and jumped into his arms and he spun me around.

He set me down and asked me to sit at the table. "Did you do all of this?" I asked with a toothy smile.

"Yep, do you like it?" He asked.

"I love it, it's amazing," I said in awe of my surroundings.

I ate my food, savoring every second of it. "All of this is delicious," I said.

"I'm glad you like it," He said with a smirk.

"Let's take a walk on the beach," He suggested. He put his hand out and I grabbed it.

We were by the waves when Hayes stood in front of me, grasping both of my hands in his.

"Katie, I've liked you since the moment I saw you. You were beautiful and I had to know you. We introduced ourselves and you were so nervous, you stuttered," He chuckled. I blushed.

"Then we got to know each other and you were so funny, brave, and courageous. I needed you, but you had to leave. My heart was broken even though I just met you. Then we had our fight, but we made out- uh- I mean- we made up. Everytime you walk into the room, my day gets better. I've been dying to ask you this, but will you do me the honor, and be my girlfriend?" He said, making me smile as wide as possible.
