Chapter 2: Emotions

Carissa's POV

My emotions were going crazy. I didn't know what to think or how to feel. I can't believe I was losing it just because I was about to see a bunch of boys I haven't even heard of.

I mean sure they're famous, super hot, and hilarious... well that didn't really prove my point.

Anyways Katie and I were walking across the parking lot into the outdoor facility where a long line had already formed. The security checked our bags and we walked to the end of the line feeling very jumpy and anxious.

I looked around and noticed that there were a lot of girls that I could just tell were trying too hard, and some that were just themselves. It was about 80° outside and it was getting hot.

Katie looked over at me and whispered, "I can't believe this is actually happening." "I know right!" I replied excitedly.

We were finally halfway through the line and were at the point where we could see through the glass doors where everyone was.

First in line was Hayes, Sam, and Alec. Then, there was IM5, Luke, Alex From Target, Twaimz, Rickey, Dylan, Paul, and then Danny. To be honest, I only knew 4 of these guys.

I still couldn't wrap my mind around the thought that we were actually here, it felt like a dream far from reality.

*15 minutes later*

Katie and I were finally in the air conditioned building and could see Hayes perfectly. Katie was trying to play it cool, but I could clearly tell that she was freaking out on the inside. (It's a best friend thing)

I was just a tiny bit nervous, not too much. I was trying to figure what to say to him. "Casual but not too casual. Not too fangirly either. Ok, I think I can make this work." I told myself.

"So, Katie, how are you holding up?" I asked. "Okay, I guess," Katie replied nervously.

Okay, this girl obviously needs a pep talk.

Katie's POV

"Okay Katie, you need to get your act together. You've got this, just don't be weird and be yourself. That's the best you can do." Carissa said.

"Ok. Thanks I really needed that Carissa" I replied to Carissa. "It's my pleasure, now you're going first." She replied and shoved me in front of her.

I stepped to the side where I could see Hayes perfectly. He had on a black and maroon tie-dye shirt, adidas joggers, and some old gray vans.

I watched him for a second, and in that moment, he looked at me. I smiled and waved and tried to hide my inner fangirl. He smiled and waved back and that is definitely where I lost it.

I started to cry, but not too much because I had my mascara on. I turned to Carissa.

"Oh My God Carissa! Did you see that?" I asked/yelled to Carissa. "Yes OMG," She replied.

I turned to my mom and told her. She started to take a video of me crying. Yay! (note the sarcasm) Typical mom, trying to save as many memories as she can to show to all of her friends.

I was talking to the girls in front of us and then it was their turn. My stomach was in knots and then it was my turn.

I was waiting for about 5 seconds when he finally noticed me standing there. I looked into his eyes, getting ready to achieve my biggest goal in life.
