Carissa's POV

Katie walked back into her room to tell Nicole about our party ideas. I walked downstairs to tell Kourtney, Dylan, and Hayes.

"Carissa, can I invite Jessica over?" Katie asked.

I walked back upstairs.

"Sure," I said. "Haven't seen her in a long time,"

Jessica was a childhood friend. She moved to LA in 6th grade. Katie and her probably kept in touch. She has blonde hair, blue eyes, and full braces. Almost like Nicole.

"So, our plan is to have a small little party in the backyard. We can swim and we can hang out on the grass. Katie and I also found some speakers that we can connect to someone's phone to play music. Then we can play some games and when we get pooped out, fall asleep on the huge hammock. All six of us, does that sound okay?" I asked.

"Ya," everyone murmured.

Hayes started counting with his fingers. "Wait, there's only five of us," Hayes said, with confusion written on his forehead.

"Katie invited her friend, Jessica, over," I replied.

"Oh okay," He said.

I began walking up the stairs.

"Carissa and Dylan, can I talk to you," Hayes asked.

"Ya, sure," I said, wondering what he needs to talk about.

Dylan and I followed Hayes into his room.

"Okay first thing I need to tell you guys. I don't trust Nicole, she gets-uh- attached." Hayes said quietly.

"Noooo, really?" I said sarcastically.

"No sh*t, Sherlock," Dylan said.

"Now to the second thing," Hayes said.

"There's another thing?! Okay, hold up, I need to say something. What the heck is wrong with you? Why did you let Kourtney all over you? You have a freaking girlfriend, you idiot" I lectured.

"Let me get to my second thing. I... I think I may have some feelings for Kourtney,"

"You've got to be kidding me. Are you serious?! You can't tell Katie, it would break her heart!" I shouted, angrily.

I'm required to get angry at Hayes. Katie is my best friend. If she found out, she would never be the same again.

The doorbell rang, interrupting our conversation.

"I'll get it!" Katie yelled from her room.

Katie ran past us and to the door. She opened the front door and her eyes lit up.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" They both screamed.

Katie and Jessica hugged the air out of each other.

"Oh My Goodness, Jess, you look great," Katie complimented Jessica.

She was right, puberty did her justice.

"What? No! You look uh-mazing," Jessica shot back.

"Thanks, come inside," Katie said while gesturing her hand towards the living room.

Jessica walked inside and saw me.

"Carissa! Is that you?!" She exclaimed.

I got up and hugged her.

"Long time, no see," I said smirking.

"Ya!" She replied.

I've always admired Jessica. She's super nice, her looks could kill, and she is such a good dancer.
