Carissa's POV
I felt so bad about yelling at Dylan. I wasn't even mad at him anymore. The only thing I was focused on was trying to keep him awake.
He kept on closing his eyes, and I was afraid he was going to lose conscious because of all the blood he was losing. I kept screaming at him to keep his eyes open and I repeatedly slapped him.
I heard Katie run inside, but she hadn't come back out yet. I was freaking out. I tried to think of ways to get into the house. I knew I couldn't just drag him across the pavement because there was too much glass scattered around.
I decided on trying to pick him up and carry him inside. This was probably the worst idea ever because as soon as I tried to get him on my back, he fell right back down and got more cuts all over his arms.
"Dylan, I know you're in pain right now but I need you to stay with me. We are going to walk to the house right now and I'll help keep the weight off of your foot." I said softly and reassuringly.
He shook his head and whispered, "No. You're going to get hurt. There's too much glass on the floor-" Dylan started coughing like crazy and went as white as a pillowcase.
I stroked his back, trying to hold in my tears because I knew crying wouldn't solve anything.
The door of the house flung open and Hayes and Katie sprinted over to us. They were both wearing shoes and the medics were right behind them.
Hayes grabbed my hand and held me back while the nurses and doctors put Dylan on a stretcher.
They carried him away and I fought against Hayes grip, trying to follow them into the ambulance.
"Stop Carissa, I need you to calm down. Dylan will be okay." Katie purred.
"NO LET ME GO I NEED TO SEE HIM" I screamed.
I elbowed Hayes in the stomach and ran straight towards the side gate. There was blood gushing out of my cut up feet and I felt dizzy.
I reached the gate and tried to open it but then the world turned black, and I fell to the ground.
Katie's POV
Carissa ran as fast as she could to the gate that the medics went through. I sprinted after her, but just as she tried to open the door, Carissa dropped to the floor with a loud thud.
I ran even faster towards her and knelt on the ground next to her. Hayes was right behind me and quickly picked Carissa up and ran to the front yard.
The doctors and nurses took her in the ambulance and let Hayes and I ride in the vehicle to the hospital.
Carissa just laid there on the bed, unconscious. This vehicle was so small, and I was getting claustrophobic.
I turned to Hayes, "I don't feel so good, I'm getting really claustrophobic in here," I nervously giggled.
Hayes pulled me onto his lap. "Is this better?" He asked, smirking.
"Ya," I said, with a slight smile. I laid my head on his shoulder.
"Do you think Carissa and Dylan are gonna be okay?" I asked, my voice cracking and my eyes getting watery.
"She's gonna be fine. Don't Worry," He cooed while stroking my hair.
"Be Happy." I whispered to myself. We eventually got to the hospital and out of the vehicle.
The medic came up to us and said, "May I ask you some questions," "Sure," Hayes and I said.
