Chapter 4: The Concert

Katie's POV

We walked into the venue which was surprisingly pretty small for such a big event like this. There was already a small crowd of VIP girls who were clumping around the stage.

Carissa and I made our way through the swarm of people and we were very close to the front. It was so hot and stuffy and I was being squished in between many bodies.

I thought this was the worst part. Man was I wrong.

The gates opened for General Admission people and they filed in. They all tried pushing to the front, but Carissa and I held our ground. We were being pushed and shoved and so many people touched my butt.

We had to stand like that for an hour and a half. Luckily, my mom bought Carissa and I a coke and water for us to share. Carissa held onto the coke and I carried the water. They had music playing which eased the awkward silence between all of us.

Then the lights dimmed and an announcer's voice yelled, "Anaheim! Are you ready?!!" The guy said. Everyone weakly replied "Yes!" "That was pathetic, I said are you ready to have some fun!" he shot back. "YESSSSS!" all the girls screamed including Carissa and I.

Then the concert began.

Everyone was pushing. That was definitely the worst part. Eventually everyone got so hot, they started to sweat. Some girls only had tank tops on and they raised their arms. I actually wanted to pass out, it smelt so bad. Like have some consideration would you?

Carissa's POV

I could tell Katie did not feel comfortable with everyone so close to her so I tried to push people back. Except there were other girls that were bigger than me. Unfortunately they push back and being 4 11' doesn't help.

The first segment was trivia. The teams were: Luke and Lindsay, Andrea and Hayes, and Danny and Paul. Hayes and Andrea won by a mile.

Next, Hayes rapped and he was amazing. Then Alec sang. After, was a date segment with Sam, Danny, and Luke.

Then, it was truth or dare. Hayes got a truth and it was about his first kiss. He said it was last summer with a girl named either Jordan or Erin. It was hard to hear with all the screaming. Twaimz performed the Llama Song and Rickey danced.

Rickey and Twaimz battled to see who was the best Beyonce. Rickey won and danced to "Single Ladies" by Beyoncé. Last, was IM5. They sang to "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars and two of their original songs. My favorite was the blonde guy. After the band performed, everyone started to clear the room.

Katie and I waited, and went to the very front gate next to the stage. We were wondering how it would have been if we were up here.

"I wonder what it would have been like to be all the way up here." I said.

"Yea, that would have been awesome." Katie replied.

We were practically screaming at each other because that was what we had to do at the concert. I had earplugs in because I couldn't handle the noise.

We cleared out the room and went straight to the water fountains. We were so dehydrated.

Katie's POV

I was finally about to get water between the women's and men's room when someone came out of the men's room. It was Chad Grier.

"Hello" he greeted me in his little accent.

"Hi" I replied.

"How are you?" He asked.

"Great. Thanks," I said.

And just like that, my mouth hung open. "Oh My God," I said to Carissa. There I go again.

"Wait! We have to take a picture with him," Carissa told me.

"Ok" I replied.

We took the picture and it was good. I felt bad for him though because all the girls were trying to take pictures with him and he was just trying to leave the room to get his son.

We walked out of the facility and to Panda Express to eat. We ate and then went to the hotel room. We decided to go swimming and that's when the fun began.
