Chapter 6: Problems

Katie's POV

I got off of Hayes and we stood face to face. Hayes put his hand out for me to grab. "I'm Hayes" He said in a friendly manner.

"I- I know. Wait- you know. I mean, I'm Hayes. Wait no, you're Hayes. I- I'm K-K-K- You're K-K-K- Carissa help me please!" I said stuttering the most I've ever stuttered in my entire life.

"One second please." Carissa said about to burst out laughing. She pulled me aside.

"Okay, Katie. Get your head on straight and talk to him! He's just as nervous as you are. It's not that hard. Picture him naked or something. Nevermind, scratch that. Now go over there and do your thing." She declared.

"Okay," I replied giggling. I walked over to Hayes.

"Let's start over," I said while motioning for him to put his hand out.

"I'm Hayes," He said with a grin. I grabbed his hand. "I'm Katie," I replied confidently while smiling.

Carissa's POV

After lecturing Katie, I was wading back into the deep end of the pool. I was peacefully floating on the water when suddenly...

"CANNONBALL" This guy yelled as he jumped into the pool and RIGHT ON ME.

"Oh My God!" I yelled pushing the teenage boy off of me. He was heavy, just saying.

Katie and Hayes were over on the chairs talking and laughing with each other.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't even see you in the pool" he said. He looked really scared and was trying to check if I was injured.

"It's fine. I'm okay. I just freaked out a little bit." I replied trying to keep it cool. I've got to admit, this guy was caaayuuutttteeeee. (btw that's "cute" ;)

"Katie! Hayes! get in here!" I yelled to them. "Okay!" they shouted back.

Hayes took off his shirt and put his clothes on a chair. Katie's expression was priceless.

Katie was waiting there and mouthed, "Oh My God, his abs" looking like she was gonna faint. "I know right! He's mucho caliente" I mouthed back. "He's mine!!" she mouthed as we both started laughing.

The guys were totally oblivious to our silent conversation. Men, am I right?

Hayes came back and jumped into the pool. Katie ran and jumped in after.

"Let's play tag!" I said to them. We all agreed and I was it AGAIN. The cute guy, Dylan, ran out of the pool and onto the concrete. I was running until I slipped and scraped my knee. It started gushing out blood and it hurt so bad.

Dylan's POV (surprise!)

Man, that girl is cute. Her name is Carissa. What a nice name. I got out of the pool and started running away from Carissa, since she was 'it'.

She was running fast, and then she slipped. She sat down holding her knee, blood dripping down her leg. Katie ran over and helped her. I followed close behind.

Katie's POV

"Oh My God, Carissa are you okay?" I asked her frantically. I have no problem with blood, so I could stay with her.

"I'm alright." She said trying to get up. "No, no, no." I said pushing her back on the ground. "I think we need to get you to the room, clean your cut, and get a band-aid. The cut is really deep and wide, and we don't want to go to the emergency room tonight." She scolded me.

The boys were watching me scold Carissa. I smiled at Hayes.

"I'm sorry, Hayes. I have to get her to the room. We can hang out again sometime soon." I told him. "It's cool, I understand. Let Dylan and I walk you to your room." He smiled back. "I'd like that." I smiled.
