I woke up to the feeling of arms wrapped around my waist. Turning around, I met Teddy's warm gaze, our faces just inches apart.

"Good morning," she said with a soft smile.

"Morning," I replied, mirroring her smile.

"I know this might be really forward, but... do you want to go on a date? Maybe tomorrow?" Teddy asked, a hopeful look in her eyes.

I grinned. "Sure."

After a little more conversation, Teddy left, and I took a shower before heading downstairs. As soon as I entered the kitchen, I was met with an unwelcome sight—Meredith and Derek going at it.

"Oh my god, guys!" I groaned.

They looked at me, startled.

"At least do it in your room so I don't have to see it," I said, rolling my eyes. They quickly scurried upstairs, and I shook my head in disbelief.

Later, Callie and I went shopping since we had the day off. As we walked through the stores, she gave me a knowing look.

"So... you and Teddy," she teased.

"Nothing's happening yet," I said, trying to sound nonchalant.

"Ooooh, I ship it," Callie said, wiggling her eyebrows.

I laughed. "And I ship you and Arizona."

Callie grinned. "Yeah, but we're actually together. You and Teddy need to be together."

I rolled my eyes playfully but couldn't stop the smile forming on my face.

"I'm just happy to see you like this. I haven't seen you smile like this since..." Callie hesitated.

I nodded, understanding what she meant. "I guess Teddy did something right," I admitted.

"She definitely did. That smile of yours is proof," Callie said, nudging me.

After we finished shopping, Callie came back to my house, and we tried on the outfits we bought. My phone beeped, and I saw a message from Teddy.

Teddy: Tomorrow, 10 PM. Wear something formal.

I smiled to myself.

"What's happening at 10 PM?" Callie asked, peeking over my shoulder.

"My date with Teddy," I said, blushing.

Mia: I can't wait.
Teddy: Me neither.

Callie grinned. "Well, that means I have to help you pick out an outfit."

"What? It's tomorrow," I protested.

"Exactly. You'll have it ready, so you won't have to stress."

"You're the best," I said, hugging her.

"I know," she smirked. "And I'm so proud of you."

After some more girl talk, Callie left, and I went to bed.

The next morning, I took a shower and went downstairs to make breakfast. Meredith walked in, eyeing me suspiciously.

"Why are you so happy?" she asked, pouring herself coffee.

"I have a date today," I said, grinning.

"Oooooh, with who?" she asked eagerly.

"Not telling you."

"Oh, come on!" she whined.

I just laughed. "Nope. Aren't you on-call today?"

Meredith sighed. "Yeah."
