Mia's POV

Today, I'm finally leaving the hospital. But instead of relief, all I feel is anger. I hate Owen for what he did to Teddy.

Meredith drove me home, but it's not really "our" home anymore. She, Derek, and Zola have their own place now, leaving me here with Jackson, April, and Alex. The house feels emptier without them, but even more so without her.

I went straight to my bedroom and froze. Some of Teddy's things were still here—little reminders of her, of us. I swallowed the lump in my throat as I grabbed one of her shirts and slipped it on. It still smelled like her. My hands trembled as I laid down on the bed, clutching the pillow she used to sleep on. And just like that, the tears started. I tried to stop them, but I couldn't. The ache in my chest was unbearable. It felt like my heart was being ripped apart.

Then, a knock at the door.

"Go away!" I yelled, my voice raw.

"Mia?" Alex's voice came from the other side.

"I said go away!" I screamed, and even I flinched at the sound. It was so loud, so full of pain, it scared even me. But it didn't stop the sobs that wracked my body.

Teddy was my safe space. With her gone, I felt like I had nothing. I couldn't function. I needed her. She was my whole world. If I ever get the chance, I'll go to Germany. I have to see if she still loves me. But if she's moved on... I don't know what I'll do.

Alex's POV

The second Mia screamed, Jackson and I looked at each other, both startled. Jackson looked like he'd just seen a ghost.

"I think we need to call someone," I whispered. Jackson nodded.

"Callie or Meredith?" he asked as we backed away from the door. Even from downstairs, we could still hear Mia crying.

"How about you call Callie, and I'll call Meredith? We'll ask for advice," I suggested.

Jackson nodded and started dialing. I did the same.

"Meredith," I said when she answered.

"Hey, what's going on? Who's crying?" she asked, concern lacing her voice.

"It's Mia. She locked herself in her room and screamed at us to leave. We don't know what to do," I admitted.

"I'm coming over. Just wait for me," Meredith said firmly.

When I hung up, Jackson looked at me. "Callie's coming, too."

"Good. We're going to need them both," I muttered.

Minutes later, there was a knock at the door. Jackson and I opened it to find Meredith and Callie standing there.

"What's going on?" Callie asked.

"Come with us," I said, motioning for them to be quiet. We led them upstairs and stopped outside Mia's door, where her muffled sobs could still be heard.

"Mia, can you open the door?" I asked gently.

"GO AWAY!" she screamed. The sound was so painful, so full of devastation, that I felt a chill run down my spine.

I turned to Meredith, and her face had gone pale.

"Yeah... this is on you two now," Jackson mumbled, before he and I stepped back, leaving them to handle it.

Callie's POV

"I'll try first," Meredith whispered. I nodded.

"Good luck," I muttered.
