Mia's POV

I woke up in bed with Teddy asleep beside me. Gently, I brushed her hair away from her face and kissed her shoulder. I could stay in bed with her all day. As she began to stir, I smiled. "Morning, beautiful," I said.

"Morning," Teddy murmured, stretching. "I wish I could stay here with you."

"Maybe call in sick?" I suggested playfully.

Teddy grinned. "That's an amazing idea." She kissed me before grabbing her phone and making the call. Once she hung up, I whispered, "You are my whole world." She smiled and kissed me deeply. I ran my fingers through her hair, keeping it out of her face. "I need to take a shower."

Teddy lay back down. "How about I join you?"

I smirked. "No need to ask."

We stepped into the shower together, letting the warm water cascade over us. I felt Teddy's lips on my neck, sending shivers down my spine.

After we finished showering, we changed into fresh clothes. "How about we go out for lunch?" Teddy suggested.

I nodded. "That sounds amazing."

As we ate, I noticed something in Teddy's eyes—like she was hiding something. "Are you okay?" I asked.

She nodded. "Can we talk when we get home?"

"Of course."

Once we got home, we sat on the couch. Teddy took a deep breath. "Before I say anything, I just want you to know I love you so much."

My heart pounded. "Teddy?"

Tears welled in her eyes. "Please don't hate me for this."

I took her hand. "I could never hate you."

She exhaled shakily. "I'm pregnant."

The words hung in the air. I wasn't mad—I couldn't be. We hadn't been together long. I pulled her into a hug as she started to cry. "Shh, it's okay."

"You're not mad?" she asked through tears.

"Of course not. We weren't together until a few days ago. There's no reason for me to be mad."

"What about the father?" I asked gently.

Teddy wiped her eyes. "I told him... he doesn't want to be involved."

I cupped her face. "We'll get through this together—if you'll let me."

She nodded, and I kissed her. "I love you so much," I whispered.

"I love you too," she said, resting her forehead against mine.

"Do you want me to be in this baby's life?" I asked.

"Yes, I do."

I smiled. "Then I will be."

The next morning, I woke up early for my first day back at work. After a quick shower, I made breakfast for Teddy and brought it upstairs. "Hey, sweetheart, wake up," I murmured, kissing her cheek.

She stirred. "Morning, beautiful."

I handed her breakfast. "Omg, Mia," she said, beaming. We ate together, and after I cleaned up, she got ready for work.

"Does anyone else know?" I asked.

"Just my OB," she said.

I nodded. "Okay."

We drove to the hospital, and Teddy changed into her scrubs. I felt her arms wrap around my waist from behind. "You okay?" she asked, resting her head on my shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I said, squeezing her hands before getting into my own scrubs.

I worked with Amelia that day, which made my first shift back easier. After work, I found Teddy in the attendings' lounge, looking exhausted. I sat beside her. "You okay?"

"Yeah, just tired and hungry."

"How about we go to my place, and I'll make us dinner?"

"I'd love that."

We drove home, and Teddy collapsed onto the couch while I cooked. Once dinner was ready, I handed her a plate.

"Mmm, you're such a good cook," she said, savoring the meal.

I smiled. "Thank you."

After we finished eating, I cleaned up, and we curled up together on the couch, watching TV. I placed a hand on her small belly. "Do you know what you want to name the baby?"

Teddy sighed. "Not yet."

I kissed her temple. "When do you want to tell everyone?"

"Whenever you're ready."

She looked up at me, her eyes full of emotion, and kissed me softly. "You're my whole world."

"And you're mine," I whispered.

"Tomorrow, I have an ultrasound. Do you want to come?"

I smiled. "Of course."

She kissed me again. "I'm so happy."

I rested my hand on her belly. "You deserve this, Teddy. And I just love you so much."

Later that night, we went upstairs to bed, wrapped in each other's arms, our hearts full of love and anticipation for the future.
