Thanks for the love on the previous chapter, it means a lot to me <3.

I wake up at 2p.m. I'm hungry and really thirsty. But first I get up from bed and go to the bathroom to wash my face. Then I realize like a sudden slap in my face: I told Summer to come over in the morning and it's already after noon. I'm so stupid, I should've known I would wake up late after yesterday's long night.

Well, unless she had plans and couldn't come, or she fell asleep like me.

I check the notifications on my phone and, yes, there's a text from her from a couple hours ago.

I'm downstairs. Your friends let me in.

No way she's been waiting for me for two hours already. I'm such a horrible person. Also, there's another text twenty minutes earlier accepting my petition.

I hope Justin and Jordan aren't behaving like assholes around her, making jokes about me and that stuff.

I waste no more time and go downstairs. I hear the boys' voices and a feminine one but less often. It's Summer for sure. I meet them in the living room playing a video game.

"Hey." I look at her and she greets back.

"One second that I finish killing this toddlers." She says with a smile, looking back at the tv.

"Did she just call us toddlers?" Justin gasps. "You'll see." And he hits the buttons more aggressively.

I can't help but laugh at it. A minute later they end the round, Summer winning. She doesn't hide her excitement and shouts in victory.

"Shit!" Jordan exclaims.

"GG, losers." She stands up and winks at them.

"Hey Vinnie, you didn't tell us she's that good at shooters." Justin protests.

"I didn't know either, I just found out like you guys."

Summer laughs.

"Feels good having little secret talents."

"Well, next time we'll be prepared." Again Justin talks, challenging her.

"By the way, did you eat something?" I ask her once we leave the boys and I lead her to the kitchen. I grab a salad from the fridge and offer her some.

"Thanks, but I've already eaten and I'm not hungry now."

I nod, take a bottle of water and leave the kitchen.

"Let's go upstairs, then." And she follows me. "Sorry for that." I say once we reach my room.

"For what?"

"I made you wait for two hours." I close the door but stay standing. Summer sits on the edge of the bed.

"Ah, don't worry, I enjoyed playing with your roommates." She smiles. "So..., what was the thing why you wanted me here?"

I now ask and sit on my desk chair and poke some lettuce with the fork.

"Umm, yeah, that..." Now that she's here it's harder to talk about the issue more than I expected. I didn't even mentally prepared the conversation, like how I could start. She doesn't know nothing. Should I start from the beginning? Should I trust her with everything like I did with Riley? This is a very complicated topic for me to talk, but I should follow Justin's words and trust her, because now she's the only person I feel that could listen to what I have to say and give me moral support or whatever. I have this big weight on that I need to lift off.

She keeps staring at me, patient. I didn't even start eating, I'm just poking the salad because anxiety. I think Summer has noticed it.

"I have a brother." I start. I clench my jaw at the instant I say the word. "And..., he's in town."

Summer nods, probably understanding that it's being hard to tell. How I wish Kaleb's ass had stayed back with dad.

"To sum up, I'm not feeling my best currently." Maybe I should keep the details for another day.

"It seems like you hate him." She murmurs, maybe choosing the words politely to not hurt me more.

"I do, very much." Just imagining his face makes me mad. "Last night was at the skatepark, after you left." I leave the salad on the desk and drink a large sip from the bottle. "I hope you never meet that asshole."

"LA is quite big." She jokes a bit. If it was another context I would laugh, but I'm being very serious.

"Summer, if you ever come across with him, let me know." I state, my lips in a straight line. She instantly understands the importance of it and nods.

"Okay, I will. But I'll need to know his name."

"Kaleb."

Seconds later Summer stands up from the bed and walks towards me. Then, she sits on my lap and doesn't hesitate in hugging me, wrapping my chest with her arms. It caught me a little off guard, but I like it.

"I think you needed this." She murmurs in my shoulder.

I return the hug and also wrap her with my arms, burying my head in her hair.

"Thanks."
