An incredulous look was what Earth got shortly after he mustered up the courage to tell his only friend of his pregnancy. Earth slowly took a deep breath to calm his tense nerves before he right out told the other beta of his news. Finally, he felt slightly better, like one part of the weight he carries on his shoulder is lessening, one less person he needs to tell about his baby.

Fluke didn't reply to anything right after he came out of his stupor. Instead, he turned his face with a calculating expression. Even after he was told why his friend's pregnancy could happen, he still can't fathom the possibility of it even occurring.

When Fluke turned his face away, Earth couldn't help but start to become nervous. The other beta was the closest person to him except for his parents, but he couldn't help thinking that maybe Fluke thought he was weird, a freak. No male beta could be pregnant, and here he was, the odd norms.

"Have you told him yet?"

Fluke's sudden voice interrupted Earth's train of thoughts, and the pregnant one looked quite surprised to find his friend's gentle expression facing him. He shook his head weakly, wanting nothing more than to bury his face under the pillow and cry when he remembered about that matter.

"Haven't you gotten close to him these days?" Fluke arched an eyebrow as he saw a sad look crossed his friend's face.

So, with reluctance to recall his conversation with the two alphas yesterday, Earth started telling Fluke about it, and he stressed out that he didn't know how to break the news to someone who clearly hadn't wanted a child. Kao said he didn't want to have children, so how can he tell the alpha that he had made one with him?

Fluke frowned when the pregnant one finished retelling the story of his conversation the other day with the two alphas. "Don't you think that maybe that guy had a reason for not wanting a child?"

Earth perked up over his friend's words, and he started thinking it over in his head, dwelling this whole situation in a new light. But, ha, he clearly hadn't thought about it that way.

Fluke scoffed, seeing the taken aback look sporting Earth's face, "I'm not surprised to find you jump to conclusions more often than not, especially if we consider your emotionally unstable condition due to pregnancy that was called hormones."

"Do you think he has a reason to dislike the idea of having children?" Earth asked meekly, after coming to terms that maybe his friend was right, the alpha had a reason.

"Maybe there was something that happened a long time ago which made him say that. You could give him the benefit of the doubt by asking about it," Fluke replied, shrugging his shoulders.

"When I think about it again, I don't know much about him," Earth looked down to his hands on top of his thighs, feeling quite upset that he hadn't thought to ask the alpha about his life. Well, he was no rude person to ask about someone's past, but the least he could do was ask.

"Exactly. You should be honest with him and tell him about the baby. He deserves to know that there is a life that you both created through your actions that night."

Earth slowly looked up to his friend's face, suddenly feeling like Fluke had gotten mature all of a sudden. But then, he remembered that the other beta had accepted his news that easily. "How are you so calm, though? I thought you would be mad at Kao for getting me in this situation. I even thought that you would start thinking that I'm a freak because I was different."

Fluke chuckled, even though he wanted to sigh at his friend. "I can hardly blame him nor you because it was a consensual act from the beginning. You weren't forced or drunk, and you were of sound mind when he asked your permission that night. I was just surprised at the possibility of you having a part of omega genes inside of you."
