"Why are you forcing me to accompany you here tonight?" A 30-year-old man wearing suits grumbled loudly to a younger man beside him as they entered the dim building where he could hear music blaring from every direction.

The younger one then looked sideways to his older companion. "I've told you why on our way here, Mew. I didn't hear you complain when you know you'll get free reign over my black cards and the joy of flirting with them," he pointed out a few directions where people were mingling with one another.

Mew's face started to brighten, "Now that you've mentioned it, I can see the amenities of your offer, Kao." His eyes roamed over the youngsters that are to his liking and occupied the club's dance floor.

Kao shook his head, and they took a seat on the high stool of the bar instead of the private lounge they usually used. "A glass of Sazerac for me and put a tab for him on me tonight," he said to the mixologist behind the bar after making sure he knew that he talked of Mew, who sat beside him just now.

"I'll have a Martinez, please," Mew said his order to the mixologist who was waiting for his order.

The mixologist then nodded, "Certainly, sir," he confirmed the tab problem and then went to mix the drink to make a glass of Sazerac and mentioned it to his fellow mixologist to make the Martinez.

Mew turned his head sideways to where Kao was sitting still despite the blaring of music in the background. He nudged the younger alpha, "I thought you were reluctant to visit this mix club because of the omegas here."

Kao rolled his eyes and sighed deeply. "It's not like I'm here to look for one," he sounded strict. "As long as no omegas approach me, I can tolerate it."

Mew then sighed, which sounded a bit sad because he rather felt pity for his younger friend. Then, he brought Kao to a sideways hug and patted the younger one's back after a grumble Kao let out. Then, he chuckled, "You and your hatred towards omega," he murmured, which Kao heard alright because they sat side by side.

"I didn't hate them," he referred to the omegas. "Hatred is such a strong feeling, and I, for one, am too tired even to start feeling resentment."

Mew just nodded along, "No surprise, from what had happened to you, I can't blame you for disliking them." Then, he faced the other alpha, who was silent after his answer just now, "But you know," he got Kao's attention. "You can't blame every omega for what you have experienced, and not all omegas are that bad."

Kao sighed, eyes assessing Mew's serious expression. "I know," was his short answer, and he turned his head to the drink that was placed in front of him by the mixologist. He sipped the reddish-black drink slowly, feeling a slight bite as he gulped the concoction. He felt Mew leaning towards him a little, a sign that he wanted to whisper something.

"Two betas just entered the door, and I bet one of them is your type," Mew whispered to Kao as he saw the beta-colored pin on two of the people who had come. There are pins to indicate which type you are that the bouncer gave as they came in; he and Kao wore the red-colored pin to tell that they are alphas. Omega has yellow as their color, and beta has blue.

Kao sighed but didn't turn around, "And how did you know my type, exactly?"

Mew grinned, even though Kao wouldn't see him, "I just assumed you are the type to go for the innocent-looking ones? This one has the face of innocent but wearing clothes bold enough that I can slightly see his navel."

Kao rolled his eyes and kept on sipping his drink.

Mew was still observing the two beta newcomers while sometimes he too sipped his drink little by little. Finally, seeing one of the two came to the bar, far from where Mew sat and walked back to the sofas carrying two drinks in his hands.
