Earth walked sluggishly to the locker room to take his bag and head home as it had passed the child care's closing time. He was so tired and felt drained, not only because of taking care of the baby like usual, but he also had several things happen throughout the day.

The pregnant beta regretted not accepting the offered help that Pineare gave him when she saw him looking for a lost favorite toy of one of the kids he handled today. If only it weren't for the temper tantrum the boy who lost the toy thrown, he wouldn't be this tired.

Earth also suspected that someone had deliberately hidden the toy because he still couldn't find it after looking for two hours since the closing time. He sat down on the couch inside the locker room and sighed deeply, feeling his muscle aches. When he felt tired like this, his mind went to someone that he solely missed.

Thinking of him, Earth opened his phone from the bag and saw only one text left by his boyfriend. It has been five days since he last saw the alpha, and these last five days were hard for him, especially since all he has been through at work.

The pregnant beta had noticed that his other co-workers had been silent with their hatred, but they did it secretly, meaning he was being harassed without other people knowing. Earth was careful to protect his belly at all times. He was glad that aside from the razor blades incident, nothing was significantly physically harmful.

There were the missing toys like the one that happened today, and the blame is thrown at him if there was a mistake made by others, his missing lunch, and other things that he had gone through in these five days.

Back to the text in his hands, he saw that the last unread text by his boyfriend were words that made him feel disappointed. The words that said the alpha can't go back to Chiang Mai today again.

"Your father is just that busy, baby. We have the night, just us two again," Earth said while he looked down sadly at his bump; his hand steadily rubbed it in a soothing motion.

The pregnant beta stood up to leave the empty room after turning off the light, but he had to balance himself on the wall when he stood up as he felt slight dizziness coming over him.

After he regained his balance, "Are you hungry, baby?" Earth looked down to his bump and caressed it lightly. He smiled sadly as he remembered that it was past his dinner time already. "Let's see what we can stomach for dinner on our way back home, hun," he said softly and continued his walk as the dizziness passed.

By the time Earth walked out of the building, all the employees had gone already, so the beta only had to lock the child care door and hand the key to the security outside the building.

Back home, nothing seemed delicious for Earth, and he felt nauseous as he looked at all the food that the street food stall had to offer. After much debate with himself and his nerves, Earth decided on spinach pasta as his dinner.

When he was waiting for his food after giving the order to the waiter, he overheard a group of teenagers talking behind his table. He was not one for eavesdropping, but when he heard Kao's surname being mentioned out loud, he couldn't help but listen in on what they were talking about. He regretted it only a second after, though.

"...you heard that new gossip?" The only female in the group started the topic, looking far too enthusiastic and sounding like one.

"About the Dechaphatthanakun's heir again? What about it this time?" One of the males sounded exasperated at talking about this particular person; that was why he was so grumpy at hearing the same name again.

The sparkle in the girl's eyes set to ablaze, "I heard it was just a gossip. I mean, the whole news about him seeing this one omega guy was wrong," she gushed, explicitly showing that this was her favorite topic to talk off.
