FLASHBACK
7 year old Cassandra Mikaelson ran through the woods as quick as her little legs could carry her, away from her older sister.
"Ready or not, here I come!" Rebekah shouted from not far away and Cassie let out a little squeal as she climbed up a tree and stayed there.
It must have been at least fifteen minutes when Cassie was still sat in the tree, still waiting for Rebekah to find her, when she got bored and climbed down with ease. Cassie wandered for a while, ducking out of sight whenever someone came, when she suddenly bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry miss," said a young male's voice, "I didn't see you there."
Cassie shook her head and looked at the boy. "It's alright, I wasn't looking where I was going."
"What are you doing out here in the woods all alone?" mystery boy questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"I was playing hide-and-seek with my sister, when she came looking for me," Cassie explained. "That was fifteen minutes ago. I got bored of waiting."
The boy paused for a minute. "What's your name miss?" Before walking to sit down by the flowers next to them.
"Cassandra. But I prefer to go by Cassie," she said, sitting down next to him.
He smiled. "Well Cassie, my name is Jaxon. Would you like to be my friend?"
"I would love to be your friend!" The young girl said, voice full of excitement.

10 year old Cassie ran through the woods as she played tag with Jaxon. She wasn't supposed to be out much longer because none of her family knew that she was friends with this boy.
"Jax!" Cassie called out. "I have to go home now."
"This early? Are you sure you can't stay out any longer?" He complained.
"No. I have to go home and help my mother prepare dinner." Cassie explained to him, pushing hair out of her eyes.
"Ah yes, be a good girl and help your mother tend to the dinner," said Jaxon. "While all your brothers are out hunting with your father."
Cassie crossed her arms. "Are you implying something, Jaxon Branson?"
"No," he shrugged. "Just that you girls will never be as strong as us boys." It was only meant to come off as a joke, but Cassie took it to heart.
So she punched him in the face.
"How was that for not being as strong as boys, hm?" She asked in triumph.
Not ten minutes later, both children were sat in the Mikaelson home with Jaxon's parents on the right of them, Cassie's parents on the left.
"Look at my boys face!" His father shouted. Jaxon and Cassie just looked at each other, finding the situation highly amusing.
"Cassandra, how dare you do such a thing!" Mikael shouted at her and she flinched slightly. Esther then came forward with a slightly gentler touch.
"Cassandra, please apologise to Jaxon." Esther said softly, crouching down to Cassie's height.
Before she could answer, Jaxon interfered. "It's alright, Cassie doesn't have to apologise, she proved me wrong."
It was silent for a minute before both sets of parents gave up and went their separate ways, but not before both mothers could send small smiles to the children.
"Hey, you know what I realised?" Jaxon asked when everyone else was gone and done talking to them.
"What?"
"We never finished our game of tag. Tag!" Jaxon ran off towards the village with Cassie hot on his tail.

"Damn it!" Jaxon exclaimed. "How is it, that you always win these staring contests?" He asked as they left the meadow behind the woods, and headed into the village.
"It's a talent you have to learn, my dear friend," Cassie told him as she picked up and apple from a nearby cart and took a bite out of it.
A voice came from behind her. "Cassandra Mikaelson, put that back right now." It was Nik.
"Hello Niklaus," She greeted him. "Did you want something?"
"Mother and Father want to see you," said Klaus, before he walked off into the forest with Elijah.
Jaxon groaned and Cassie smiled as she looked at him. "I'll come and find you in the meadows afterwards." He nodded so she kissed his cheek before walking back home.
When she entered the house, she was greeted by her mother and father who both had stern expressions on their faces.
"Was there something you needed?" Cassie asked, becoming worried. "Mother, did you need me to help you prepare dinner?"
Esther shook her head.
"Father, did you want me to go get my brothers?"
Mikael shook his head before opening his mouth to speak. "Much like Rebekah, you are of age now, so we have taken your future into our own hands. You are arranged to be married in two months time."
Her mouth went dry.
"To Jaxon Branson."

not a lot of people were happy with Harry Styles as Jaxon's fc so I got rid of it. a few things might be changed for the flashbacks as well.
