Cassie, Lady Sif and the Warriors three all began to walk forward, towards the robot. Cassie was twirling her daggers with her fingers and had a smile on her face,  as the robot walked towards them smashing everything in its path.

"Keep it distracted," Lady Sif told them, she went round the back to stack it from behind. The robot opened up its face and used the fire inside to blow up the petrol station. As Volstagg ran towards them, Cassie and the other two warriors flung him forward but the machine swatted them away like you would a fly.

Volstagg landed on a car, the machine walked over and opened up its face to blast him but Lady Sif came from the roof above them and used her spear to stab it through the back of its neck so the machine shut down.

Unfortunately, the machine started up again but as it did, its entire body twisted around so it was facing Lady Sif who's spear was stuck in the machines body. Sif jumped off the same time the machine let out a blast of fire.

"Fall back!," Sif shouted and ran back towards them. 

The machine began to destroy everything, Sif and Cassie were flung into a car and the other three smashed the cafe window and went flying through. Sif and Cassie struggled to stand, the former more than the latter.

"You alright?" Cassie asked as she pulled Sif off the floor.

Sif smiled and brushed the dust off her. "I'm fine, thank you. I don't know how we're going to beat this machine."

"We'll figure something out, nothing is impossible," Cassie smiled and Sif was grateful for her optimism. The two women hid behind a car as the cafe was destroyed but Thor ran towards them.

The two women turned to him. "You've done, all you can."

Sif shook her head. "No. I will die a warriors death. Stories will be told of this day."

"Live, and tell those stories yourself," Thor smiled and Cassie spoke up.

"I'm completely fine with carrying on, because I can't die so..." Cassie told them and Thor shook his head.

"I need you to go, and protect the others," He told her. Cassie looked at him but hesitantly nodded her head. Cassie put Sif's arm around her shoulder and the two ran to safety.

They all stood back and watched as Thor walked straight towards the machine. He began talking to the machine so she listened in.

"Brother, whatever I have done to wrong you, whatever I have done to lead you to do this, I am truly sorry," He apologised, still walking towards the machine.

Cassie remembered the times when she used to have a bond like this with her family, but that all disappeared when they became vampires. When Nik became obsessed with the curse, Elijah and Astrid devoted their lives to helping him, Finn became stuck in a box, Kol slaughtered everyone in sight, Rebekah fell in love with every man she ever met and Cassie was left in the dark. She was the glue who tried holding the rest of them together.

"But these people are innocent," Thor continued. The machine opened his face right in front of him. "Taking their lives will gain you nothing. So take mine instead, and end this."

The machine looked as if it were about to walk away but it turned back and hit Thor away as far as it could. Jane immediately ran forward to see if he was okay, it looked like they were having a serious conversation so Cassie focused on his heartbeat. It began to slow down, and eventually it stopped.

Suddenly, something came flying towards them. It looked like had come from the base so Cassie could only guess that it was the hammer.

"Oh my god." Cassie muttered in awe, presuming it was Thor's doing.

Erik ran forward. "Jane!," he yelled. Erik grabbed her and forced her back to where the others were standing. He was struggling to hold onto her so Cassie grabbed hold of her arm and kept her there effortlessly.

Thor caught the hammer and he was struck by lightening that blinded them all. He came out holding the hammer up high and dressed in the amour that was described in the stories. The tornado began swirling and Thor flew up into it so the machine didn't know where to look.

It turns out Thor was creating the tornado. The machine tried to attack but Thor was too powerful. Thor went straight for the machine and created a blast of energy as he destroyed it with its own fire. It dropped to the ground and Thor walked towards them like nothing had happened.

Cassie turned to the other Asgardians. "Is this how her normally looks?" She asked them.

They shrugged. "More or less," Hogun told her.

"We must go to the bifrost sight," Thor told them. "I would have words with my brother."

Coulson came running towards them. "The fun police are here!" Cassie said sarcastically and the three warriors laughed.

"Donald?" Coulson asked and Cassie snorted a bit but covered it with a cough. "I don't think you've been completely honest with me."

"Oh you think?" Cass intervened and Coulson wasn't impressed.

"Know this, Son of Coul," Thor interrupted him. "You and I, we fight for the same cause, the protection of this world. From this day forward you can count me as you ally. If you return the items you have taken from Jane."

"Stolen." Jane corrected.

"Borrowed," Coulson shot back. "Of course you can have your equipment back. You're going to need it to continue your research."

Thor turned to Jane. "Would you like to see the bridge we spoke of?"

"Wait, I need to debrief you!" Coulson shouted as Thor flew off with Jane.

Cassie went up to him and patted him on the shoulder. "Well, at least you tried."

The others had used the van to drive over and gotten out as quickly as they could. Cassie used the chance to speak to Sif as the others were busy.

"Okay, I just wanted to say that it has been an hour to meet you," Cassie said quickly. "When my mother told me stories about you all, you were my favourite, my idol. So, to meet you in person is insane! Sorry I'm rambling-"

Cassie was cut off as Sif hugged her. "The honour has been mine, Cassandra. You were also my favourite." Cassie blushed a little. "I hope we meet again soon. Until then, farewell, Lady Cassandra."

They walked back over and Darcie turned to her. "Are you blushing?"

"I just met the woman who is my idol, I'm allowed to blush and fangirl a little," Cassie snapped so the brunette just backed off.

"Honestly, if I met Meryl Streep I'd probably do the same." Darcie admitted and Cassie laughed. Meryl Streep was an icon.

After a few more moments, something began to happen in the sky. Sif hugged Cassie again before they ran to the circle. Cassie turned around and saw Thor kissing Jane, but she wasn't surprised at this point. They disappeared in the blink of an eye, leaving the others in the dust.

If there was one thing Cassie was excited about, it was that when Rebekah wakes up she would get to rub in the fact that she met Sif. She knew for a fact that her big sister would get annoyed by it and get all grumpy.

And that just gave her another reason to enjoy it.
