Cassie walked into the lab Fury wanted them to meet in. He hadn't given her much details, only that it was important.

"Sir, what did you want to meet with me for?" Cassie asked as he turned to her.

Fury sighed. "Coulson came to me- about a month or two ago now- telling me that he had a feeling we should keep looking." Cassie furrowed her eyebrows. "I didn't want to tell you, because I didn't want to get your hopes up and disappoint you but I don't think you'll be disappointed anymore."

"I am so confused right now," Cassie admitted, her brain couldn't keep up with the information. "What are you trying to say."

Fury opened up the curtain in the lab and Cassie froze when she saw who was on the table.

It was Steve.

Her best friend Steve was lying down on the table, frozen in ice in his Captain America uniform from 1945. Cassie thought she'd never see either of them again after that plane went down an Bucky fell but, here he was.

"Oh my god," She said softly. "Is he alive?" Fury nodded.

"I have a plan," Fury told her. "For when he wakes up."

"All agents, code thirteen," The voice said through the speakers. Cassie laughed and turned to Fury and Coulson.

"Is now a good times to say 'I told you so'? because I did say this wouldn't work," Cassie told them with a smirk. They just told her to shut up before the three of them jumped in the car and went after Steve.

"At ease soldier!" Fury shouted as they all pulled up. They walked towards him. "Look I'm sorry about that little show back there, but we thought it best to break it to you slowly."

"Break what?" Steve asked. He turned around. "Cassie?"

Cassie stepped forward. "Steve, you've been asleep. For almost 70 years."

Steve stopped for a minute, taking in what he had just been told. Cassie kept her hand on his soldier for comfort

"You gonna be okay?" Fury asked as Steve, once again, took in his surroundings.

"Yeah," He breathed out. "Yeah I just...I had a date."

Steve looked at Cassie and she gave him a sad smile.

"So did I."
