Isabella Diaz and her family moved to Hawkins because her Dad Marino got a job offer he couldn't refuse, or at least that's what she told.
In reality, he moved his family because Isabella's sexuality was exposed, struggling and getting bullied Marino did the right thing and got a "new job" so Isabella could get a fresh start.
With this new start Isabella wanted to start stepping up, her family moved from Puerto Rico when Isabella was a baby but when they came to America they didn't have much so to give back to her parents to thank them for everything they've done, Isabella gets a job at Scoops Ahoy.
There she meets Robin Buckley, someone who has a strange effect on Isabella, an effect she hasn't felt since moving.
