Owen and Amelia were in the hospital like all the rest of their friends, they were all exhausted since a few days the hospital was full of patients and that did not stop.None of the doctors of Grey Sloan memorial had been able to return at home since three days they were all exhausted because it was December 10 and that the tiredness of all the year was felt...
As for the Shepherd-Hunt family, everything was going well, Owen and Amelia had never been so happy and in love, Leo was now 7 years old, almost 8 in a few months, which terrified Amelia who did not want to see her little baby grow up too fast he was obsessed with soccer and still as calm and cute as ever, Liam was 5 years old and he is like the sporty spice,he climbed on things all day and never stop sometimes he is the troublemaker in the house but he still loves to cuddle with his daddy and was a soccer fan like his dad and brother.
Ava and Olivia were both walking very well, and talking a little more and although they were twins they were both very different like Olivia is always laughing and doing something that's making herself laugh or making you laugh,she's got really deep dimples and Ava,Ava is a little bit more serious and she is very very sensitive and the sweetest of the entire family and she was for sure a mommy's girl. They had all the men in the house wrapped around their fingers like their Mama, they were the 3 princesses of the house. During their long days at work without their children Owen and Amelia only thought of one thing: to go home to their children who were with Evelyn
"I'm exhausted," Amelia said to Owen as she emerged from an 8-hour surgery.
"I know, Babe, sometimes I wish I could change our jobs," he said.
"I feel like we're bad parents, we haven't seen our kids in 3 days Owen, 3 days" Amelia said and snuggled up to Owen normally they didn't show a lot of affection in the hospital because it wasn't really allowed by the rules but they both didn't care
"I feel the same way but I don't think we're bad parents" Owen said and their Webber paged them.
"Why is he asking us to go to the meeting room?" Amelia asked
"No idea" Owen replied and they went to the meeting room
"Okay so I've asked you all to come down here because you're all exhausted and I can see that, Grey you lost two patients today something you never do, Shepherd you almost fell asleep in the ER yesterday on your shift, Karev you got into a fight and the list goes on and on of all the things the surgeons did wrong this week. So I'm going to ask all of you,Jo and Alex,Maggie,Meredith,Owen and Amelia,Callie and Arizona , Jackson and April and also Carina to pack your bags" Richard said
"Are you firing us?" Amelia asked.
"But you can't do that, if we're not performing well, it's because of you. You made us work harder and harder and now we're exhausted" Mer said
" I'm not firing you I'm sending you on vacation ! " Richard said
"What" all the surgeons said in unison
"We have children, Richard, we can't just walk away" April said.
"And all our patients." Owen said.
"Yes, the hospital is already overburdened, so if they lose several surgeons, it will be a disaster" Alex said
"Calm down I know you have children, and they will come with you I have already taken the tickets for each of you and each of your children" he added and everyone started asking questions
"I have called doctors to cover for you while you are away so don't worry about your patients, you are leaving tomorrow for Thailand to a hotel on the waterfront, you have a big pool and a view on the sea, you stay there for 10 days, your plane leaves tomorrow at 8am, so be here by 5am and bring some activities for your children it's a 15 hour flight" Richard said and left the room and let all the surgeons in the room
"Getting on a plane with 12 kids is going to be hell" Amelia said
"And don't forget that Alex and I have an 9 month old baby who does nothing but cry so sorry in advance guys". Jo said
"Don't worry there is Oliver (calzona son's) who is Liam's age and when they are both together at the same time in the same place it's hell...two troublemakers" Arizona said
"girls smile and think of the good time we are going to have there, tomorrow we will be at the beach!"  April said
"Before we get to the beach we're going to have to spend the night packing" Meredith said and everyone left to get ready to leave
OWEN POV
"Mom we're home" I said as I walked in with Amelia
"Daddy !" Liam said and jumped into my arms
"ohhh I missed you buddy" I said and kissed his head while Leo was with Amelia
"My sweet Leo, I missed you" she said
"mama! dada!" Ava and Olivia came running to us
"Oh my two princesses, I missed you" Amelia and I said
"ok now let's get to work O!" Amelia said
"What's going on?" my mom asked
"Our boss is sending us on vacation to Thailand, and we leave tomorrow morning ! So I have to get everything ready" Amelia said and went upstairs
"She looks stressed!" my mother said.
"She is...15 hours of flying with 2 toddlers and 2 babies is going to be tough" I said
"oh Yeah , anyway I wish you good luck and have a good vacation" my mom said and gave me a hug
"Goodbye mom" I said
"Goodbye Mimi" the kids said and hugged her , that's what they called my mom, they prefer that to grandma or granny
"Ok kids, can you go clean up the playroom, while I go see your mom" I asked
"But daddy, are we really going on vacation to Thailand? Leo asked.
"Yes, that's why I need you to clean up your playroom while we go pack your bags" I said "and Leo, thank you for watching your brother and sister" I said and kissed his head.
"You're welcome, I'm the big brother and I have to be there for them " he said and went to join the others
