Still falling for you

chapter 4

OWEN POV
I wasn't supposed to be working but I had a fight with Teddy so I decided to work to take my mind off of it and also I couldn't be in the same place as her!
It was a quiet night in the ER and I was thinking about Amelia and how it was going with Link so I decided to call her but before I could call an ambulance arrived. I ran outside, opened the doors and froze. The paramedic started talking.
"37 year old female Amelia Shepherd,possible head trauma,multiple injuries and a broken arm"
I stood there without moving a muscle I looked at Amelia and my eyes filled with tears it was as if it was happening in slow motion at the same time I heard Richard Bailey and everyone else come up behind me and take Amelia inside. After that Mer came in front of the ER and I looked at her and asked her what happened...
- "what happened I don't understand she had to go see Link but maybe she was attacked on the way back here,I don't know,I don't understand what happened?"
"Owen" she start "he assaulted her,Amelia went home and they went upstairs to talk but it got out of hand we heard screams so we went upstairs we opened the door and he was on top of her beating her" She said shaking
In a split second my sadness turned into strength and anger
- "Where is he ? I'm going to kill him! I said screaming
-I don't know, he ran away and at that moment I was so afraid for Amelia that I rushed to her without paying attention to him so he run away but I called the police and they are looking for him" she answered
- "it's my fault everything is my fault. She called me and she was scared but I told her to go and talk to him and she listened to me and now she's hurt and it's my fault" I said crying
- "shhhhhh none of this is your fault Owen" she said as she hugged me
- "you should go in and go with her she might want to see you when she wakes up" she said to me
"I don't know, maybe she'll be mad at me when she wakes up" I said
"No, she'll want to see you and if you don't go, you'll regret it! Go in there "
I looked at her and went into the emergency room I looked at the admission board and she was in trauma 2 I took a deep breath and went into the room 
(Another small precision in this story Alex came back Arizona,Jackson and April they never left )
I approached the bed and everyone was taking care of Amelia. Jackson was stitching her up, Bailey and Richard were assessing the internal damage, April was there as well as Alex and Maggie and to my surprise Teddy was there as well she had probably been paged to replace Maggie but Amelia was still unconscious.
After 5 minutes she suddenly woke up and took a deep breath
- "Owen" she said "Where he is ? I want him now I need him".
"I'm here, calm down Amelia, you're in the hospital, you're safe, everything's fine" I said, taking her hand and stroking her hair.

TEDDY POV
I am taking care of Amelia and she is seriously injured, due to Link's blows she has internal bleeding and probably a brain contusion, we need to get her to the OR now, after I finished examining her I took note of the extent of the injuries and I looked at Owen who was looking at her and taking care of her, not in a medical way, but he was talking to her calmly and reassuring her while holding her hands. I know it's wrong to be jealous at a time like this,seriously she was beaten almost to death and I'm jealous of her . But now that's not the problem here the problem is her bleeding so she needs to go to the OR immediately
- "okay guys she need surgery NOW let's go ... "bailey said
- "I can help you if you want" I said
- "Of course Altman we will need help" Richard said
I looked at Owen and he was still in the same position reassuring Amelia hand in hand and stroking her hair. I walked over to them and said
- "Okay Amelia you have internal bleeding we need to get you to the OR or you're going to die".
Amelia start sobbing again "no,I can't do this, if I go in there I'm going to die I know I won't make it ! What about Scout or Leo if I d".
"Stop" Owen interrupted her "you are the strongest person I know, you have survived everything, you are a superhero"
-"A freakin' superhero" she replied
-"the best one "Owen said with a smile on his face.
"We have to go now" Richard said
"don't forget what I told you and I'll see you when you wake up" Owen said
"Will you be there? "amelia asked
"I will" he replied
After that we picked up Amelia and took her to the OR.

OWEN POV
I was told to wait in the waiting room but it was too hard for me not to know what was going on and how she was doing so I decided to go to the gallery even if it's not the best decision but I did it anyway followed by Alex and Maggie.
They started the surgery for almost 2 hours and everything was going well until Amelia's heart stopped when I heard the machines beep, my heart stopped too I can't lose her I hit the intercom and said to Teddy
- "You have to save her,I can't lose her" She didn't answer me and just screamed
-"Karev, get him out!"
-No I'm not going anywhere I'm not going to leave her" I said back to Alex
I looked down into the OR and that's when I saw Bailey giving CPR to AmeliaAnd she yelled at me "Hunt out! "
I couldn't take it anymore so I left .
I ran to the nearest on-call room and started crying, I can't lose her even if she doesn't love me anymore I still love her and I always will. I can't live without her!
I stayed there for 3 hours until my phone rang and it was Teddy asking me to meet her in the waiting room.
I got out and started walking, my heart was pounding, then I see Teddy, Richard and Miranda and I approach them Maggie, Mer and Alex join me and we get in front of them.
Bailey began, "she lost a lot of blood that's why her heart stopped after several minutes we finally got her back. And then we continued the surgery without any problems, she's fine, she's not awake yet but she's alive"
I was so relieved that I took her in my arms and whispered "thank you very much" she smiled and after that I thanked Richard too
- "can we see her? Maggie asked.
"She's not awake yet but you can come see her" Bailey said
I am so relieved I was so afraid of losing her...Today I really realized how much I cared for her or rather how much I still love her
