short chapter but there's some kind of storm in my town so it inspired me
AMELIA'S POV
"Good morning!" I said to Owen
"Hey!" he said and kissed me "good morning"
"It's raining today!" I said with a growl
"LA girl ! " he said and laughed
"Seriously, it sucks, sun is way better than rain " I said
"Come on cheer up ! We have to wake up the kids and get them to school and us to work" he said and we got up and did our usual morning routine, got the kids to school plus Riley to daycare and off to work
"Have a great day, I love you," I said to Owen.
"I love you too and I'll see you later" he said, kissed me and we went our separate ways.

"Amelia?" I heard Owen call.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"The school called and there's a storm warning so we have to go pick up the kids" he said
"Shit, I have surgery but I can shift it to pick them up" I said but he cut me off
"I finished my shift babe I'll pick them up don't worry" he said
"Thank you! I think I'll be home in about an hour. Are you taking Riley too or should I pick her up when I'm done?" I asked
"I'll take her don't worry" he said
"Ok thanks bye" I said
"I'll see you later" he said and left

OWEN'S POV
I was now with the children at home and I was waiting for Amelia. And the storm was getting worse and worse and Amelia should have been here more than 30 min ago but she is still not here and it's starting to worry me
"Where's mom?" Leo asked he was so hung up on his mama it was so cute
"She should be here soon" I said.
"You look worried" Leo said
"I'm fine bud it's just that I'm worried about your mom the storm is really dangerous and I don't like to know she's driving in this weather" I said
"now I'm worried too" he said
"No Leo don't worry, she's probably being held up at the hospital by a patient she'll be here soon" I said and kissed his forehead
"Mmk" he said
"Can you go check on your brother and sisters?" I asked
"Yes daddy" he said
"Thank you angel" I said and a lightning bolt went off and I tried to call Amelia but she didn't answer so I decided to clean up the house to take my mind off it
1 hour later
"Okay Amelia please call me back I'm worried it's really ugly out there I'm scared for you" I said on the phone I had called her more than 20 times with no answer
A few minutes later I heard the door open and saw Amelia and I ran over and hugged her
"Oh ok" she said and chuckled
"You scared me to death" I said and kissed her forehead "I thought you died in this storm".
"I'm sorry I got out of surgery late and then I picked up dinner and my phone died, sorry I didn't mean to scare you babe" she said
"It's ok I'm just relieved you're ok" I said "what did you picked for dinner?" I asked
"Italian! You know me" she said 
"hey sweetheart" she said as she hugged Riley "I missed you"
Then there was a loud thunderclap and Amelia jumped
"It brings back memories with the rain,the storm..." I said.
"Do you still remember?" she said and smiled, "It's been over 12 years..."
"Yes but it seems like yesterday" I said and smiled at her

Flashback 12 years ago (end of season 12)
AUTHOR'S POV
"Shit" Amelia said when she realized she had forgotten her umbrella
"Hey honey" Owen said
"hey! I forgot my umbrella" Amelia said
"well you'll have to run" Owen said and laughed
"I don't want to get wet ! " Amelia protested
"Come on" Owen said and held out his hand for Amelia
"Ok...1-2-3" Amelia said and they held hands and ran in the rain to the car, Owen opened the car but Amelia took him by the arm and brought him into her and kissed him passionately
"I thought you didn't want to get wet" Owen said and winked at her.
"I don't care about rain I'm just way too in love with you" she said and he kissed her and loud thunderclap sounded
"Can we go home?" Amelia asked.
"Sure, come on" he said and they got into the car

"Owen?" Amelia asked after showering and changing.
"Yeah?" he asked.
"I know it's awkward but I'm really scared of thunderstorms like this" Amelia said and at the same time a thunderclap sounded and Amelia gasped and Owen wrapped his arms around her
"Nothing to be embarrassed about" he said and kissed her forehead "but come with me" he said and they sat on the bed and hugged her
"when you're with me nothing can happen to you...I'm here to protect you babe" he said and hugged her even tighter
"Thank you" Amelia said and smiled at him and Owen kissed her and then they spent the evening snuggled up together in that bed watching and it was on that night that they both realized that he and she was the one and that they were hopelessly in love with each other and that will never change

After dinner the kids were watching TV before going to sleep and Owen and Amelia were finishing cleaning up the kitchen when a loud thunderclap hit and the lights went out causing 4 of their 5 kids to run into the kitchen
"Mama I'm scared" Ava said and Amelia took her in her arms
"Ava bella there is no need to be afraid, the light is gone because of the storm but it doesn't matter" Amelia said
"I'm still scared" the 4 children replied
"It's ok to be scared! I'm scared too and so is daddy" Amelia said
"Mom is right so why don't you sleep with us tonight?" Owen asked and all the kids said yes.
"Mommy will help you brush your teeth and I'll get some candles and flashlights" Owen said.
The family got into bed and snuggled up together, not forgetting Riley who was sleeping peacefully in her crib right next to Amelia
"I'm scared of thunder" Olivia said.
"it's fine sissy I am here and I am protecting you " Liam said and Owen and Amelia looked at each other and thought to themselves "Wow, we've really managed to do some good and raise some good kids who love each other"
"Would you like me to read you a story?" Leo asked his sisters, brother and parents
"That would be lovely sweetie" Amelia said and Leo started to read "Little Bear" and despite the storm outside and the scary noises none of them were afraid because they were all together so nothing could happen and they were safe with their family
